Just had a look at the configuration tool for an A3 Sportback on the Audi website and the only solid colours are now red and black. White has been removed.
Also noted co2 output for 1.6 tdi Sline is now given as 106 compared to 99 for SE and Sport.

No great loss eh, white's for boy-racers ;)

Is it not just being replaced with Ibis though. Configurator is well known for being a bit poop.

Being a boy racer...I picked Amalfi White. I went on the configurator not long after my order (I think around mid-March) and noticed it had been replaced by Brilliant Red...which is odd because Red used to be a paid option, but now it's standard. I probably would've picked Red if I could.

In hindsight with Black or Amalfi White as options, I would've picked Black...if I had done my research I would've realised that "Amalfi" translates to "Almost".

Nothing wrong with Amalfi.....

Ibis White is what's replacing it for MY16. If you spoke to the dealer it would be available it's just the Configurator as others have pointed out isn't updated too well.

Configurator is not updated yet, nor are the dealer systems but have managed to order an Ibis White S3 SB - 52 year old boy racer here ;)

Expectations issue for me...my fault as I didn't research into the two types of white Audi offer on the A3.

Not totally unhappy with it. Might grow on me.

I always wanted Ibis White on my 8V but Audi replaced it with Amalfi for MY14 so went Daytona Grey as I find Glacier White "to white", but the day before I ordered my S3 they reintroduced it for MY16...happy days!!!!!!

To be honest I think most of the Audi colours look great, including white ;)

The first time I went into an Audi dealer for a test drive I could have happily driven home in any of the cars in their showroom (to be fair though they did have an RS5 and an R8 which helped)!!

Brilliant Red was my first choice but my wife refused point blank to have a red car so that was the end of that. I chose the car and she chose the colour, seems reasonable to me :)

Funny - same thing with me. I showed my other half the new standard options and she refused red as well. No idea what the reason was.

I wanted a Focus in Deep Impact Blue, Mrs Wife wanted a white A3 soft top with a black roof... so we compromised and got a white A3 soft top with a black roof.

If Ibis had been available at the time of order i would probably gone for that over red. Not that i'm not happy with it, and was probably due a change anyway as my last 2 cars were white.

Fuuny I have an Ibis , great colour actually. My daughter has Amalfi on her A1 , and the missus said that is the only colour she likes.(cream is what she calls it).
I guess I will chose the car and her the colour as well ,but as no Amalfi she might give up. :)

After spending my lunch break contemplating my love of Ibis White I am now seriously considering an affair with Sepang Blue!!!!!!!

Haha!!

I must admit although I'm usually very decisive in life I agonised over the colour for ages. The problem is you think you've chosen well until some smart-**** uploads a load of fancy pics in a different colour. Then you go, oh *** I think I've got it wrong again!!

Lets be honest if there was an option where you could flick a switch and change the colour every few weeks I reckon most would go for it ;)

I think Amalfi and Glacier White are
two great colors!

My last car was an Audi A4 B8 in Ibis White. As a white goes it's really white! Doesn't show the swirl marks and if you really lazy you can wash it, hose it down and leave it (you will need to polish the windows though).
It's quite forgiving.

It should look really smart on the A3.

Only Misano was paid for option. Brilliant Red has always been standard. And I think it's a good colour - my wife chose it!!

Amalfi white has to be one of the worst Audi colours going, it's horrid. It's like the car has been placed in a smokers shed for a few years, it looks nicotine stained to me, horrid horrid horrid.

Glacier white is lovely, it has a lot of depth for a white colour and sparkles in different lights with a slightly sky blue tint.

I'm sure the new Audi white is Shell white, being offered on A1's/Q3/5's from what I can see. It looks like the whitest white to me.

It's these kind of compromises which keeps a marriage working!

Don't go Sepang she's the Audi bike, everyones had her ;)

Yeah but what a ride.... If you were being honest with yourself you would be all over her like a cheap over coat

I just got my Amalfi White A3 and it looks alright - when it's clean of course. Like most white cars it needs a good wash and wax.

It's not Vanish OxyClean white...more like Tesco Value Washing Powder white...but we're talking about a car, not a shirt...and it looks good. Certainly not nicotine stained, although that description of it made me laugh.

So pleased I picked glacier white.....love it. Even looking clean for consecutive days at the moment with this nice weather.

While the weather lasts. I've heard grumblings around the office of incoming rain (at least in London and surrounding areas).

In hindsight I would've gone for the standard red option or one of the white cost options. Not unhappy with Amalfi but it's definitely cream-y from some angles. Like Elmlea Double.

The S-Line standard wheels look great. And it's all about the interior - the ride and quality is phenomenal.
