Hi to all, I've been quite an avid reader of this section for some months now as I searched for the right A5 for me. I was getting frustrated as it seemed I would be looking forever for the right spec and price combo but am really pleased as today I made a good px deal on my Subaru impreza and picked up my new pride and joy. A5 3.0TDI S LINE SE in BLACK.
It has the mmi and sat nav which will take some working out and the b&o stereo upgrade that sounds really good. Hoping to learn plenty through this forum in the near future and will enjoy that. I already have the modding bug so looking forward to some suttle changes. I'd like to one day get a nicer sound from the exhausts and de chrome the window surrounds. I'm also thinking of the rs style front grill but must admit I'm quite pleased with it as it is. Lots of power and so smooth. First auto I've driven properly. It needs a really good clean and detail which is something I enjoy doing so will post some pics up when that's all done.

Might turn this into a bit of a before and after thread if its not the wrong place in the forum to do so...

Well i Wanted to get the window surrounds de chromed firstly. Had them done yesterday and came to the car today and it has part lifted up already. Driven 8 miles and parked up and then less than 24 hours after application this is happening. Gutted! I'm going back to them Friday to have it seen to....other than that I'm just de chroming the fog surrounds by painting them myself. That and the black window surrounds will give it a cleaner look I'm after. It has very bad stone chipping to the front end so I'm having that re painted which is taking any money away from other mod ideas right now. Mainly after that I'm after a better sound from the exhaust and then looking into the re mapping side of things. More power ha

Would love to see the pictures of de chromed surrounds as I want to do that myself.

Then puddle lights, then tint, then RS5 grill, then new wheels, then ................. And on & on.

If you've not upgraded the interior lights to LED do that as its a cheap mod but so good.

T8ups has the kits.

Il get you some pics up on Friday mate. Looking forward to re fitting them, and hopefully the window surrounds are right by then. I've thought about the LEDs but wondered if it was a bit harsh/white the light. I've done it before tho and like the difference. Don't seem to have any light in the glove and footwells so will need to look at them and puddle lights too. The list is longer than I thought ha.

Had the window surrounds done now and blacked out the spot surrounds Nothing too close up,as it really needs a wash ha
only a slight change and nothing against chrome but as my last car was silver im embracing the black on black look to this now especially as the wheels have a dark wash to them aswell

New Gloss black grill fitted and a lot of 3 step paint correction done. Some left to do but happy with the overall look now. Window tints next so hoping to find somewhere recommended and reliable.
