Yea as Gaz said Aaron it might have been damaged or not put back on correctly causing the light to come on!
Had the same on old b7, turned out the pad wear wire nipped from pad. i just joined it with other pad wire and used electrical tape. All good after that.check if the pad wear sensor is either feck'd or broken wire or if it's even refitted

I have sourced a genuine VCDS cable. I'll be practicing with it this weekend when I pick up my A5 but after that I'm happy to help where I can. Am based in Belfast through the week and Donegal at the weekends (long story)
