Looks good! Fronts don't poke as much as they looked in the previous pictures. They sit perfect at the front! I'm quite jealous! Haha

I thought they would have poked more than that to be honest. The fronts will drop inside the arch nicely with a bit of natural camber once you lower it.

Just needs some 10mm spacers on the rear and to come down abit in height. Can't decide on coilovers or mayb just some eibachs as already running b5 purches up front

I like the sound of eibachs mate, I think the subtle-ness of your car is what makes it stand out. But I would also look amazing slammed! Haha

Its too comfy which is making me go more for some eibachs. Pros or sports tho lol

I love the comfort of my car so I'm getting the pro's when I go for it. I have the b5 perches too.

Always get confused with the amount they drop the avant. Its from standard se height isn't it? Not from sport height?

Yeah mate its from standard se height. Pro kit will drop Sport avants ~10mm. Sport kit will drop it ~30mm front and ~20mm rear.

You can get pretty good deals from German eBay! You can get Pro's delivered for about £120!

Thank you believe it or not its the best paint that me and my brother have found for calipers and its £3 a tub from b&q. Its enamel metal paint
Do they have a good selection of colours? I need to paint my rusty calipers haha

EDIT: Just had a quick look. £3.49 for a 59ml tub?

Oh great find then! Lovely colour. Did you spray it or good old fashioned paint brush?

Good old fashioned brush on. Its better than the £30 calliper paint I previously used on the fronts and its even better on bare metal

Great going! I might have to follow suit on my calipers as they are going to get the navy blue treatment to match the convertible roof. Enamel paint is a winner!:applaus:

I'm just going to paint mine black tbh. Don't need to have my baby 1.9 brakes standing out lmao

was thinking of painting mine blue, got to look better than rusty.

anyone know of a big brake conversion that bolts strait on and is cheap?

Think I'll paint mine pewter grey possibly!

I upgraded to 312mm front discs which is probably the easiest conversion!

they go straight on? going to have to have a look now :)
I'm pretty sure all you need for the upgrade is the 312mm caliper carriers. I got a full set of 312mm brakes for £80, so in the end I didn't need to source things individually.

is that calipers and discs? any specs or pics and how much? :)

Painted grill surrounds gloss black

Nice work!:icon thumright: Did you use a primer, then gloss black paint, then lacquer? Im going to paint all 4 of my front surrounds the same and wondering if its worth the whole 'professional' coating or just a quick lick of paint.

yeah I removed the grills cleaned them with wire wool to remove ingrained dirt gave a sanding with some fine paper to key the surface wiped them down to clean off any dust then primer few light coats of gloss to build it up then 3 coats of laquer

New boost pipe clip fitted
Vacuum pink gasket tmra.

The clip has made loads of difference.
Though I'm hoping the gasket solves the random non starting issue
