Halden 4wd permanent or not?

Not that it really matters but does anyone know if the Haldex system on the S1 is 60/40 all the time, with a split to 50/50 just in case. Or is it front wheel drive mainly but switches to 4wd as needed? It's just that most reviews say it's a permanent 60/40 4wd system but watched a Top Gear video and that Idiot Clarkson, who doesn't really know a lot about cars admittedly, was trying to say it's basically just another front wheel drive car with the option of 4wd

That's what I thought. It's small wonder Clarkson has gone lol
