Porsche treat their prospective and existing customers to a Porsche Driving Experience at Silverstone ;)

Free :)

Complete with skid pan and track :)

(And to be fair to Audi, I've attended 3 Audi Sport Showcase Events - 45 minute unaccompanied drives, in RS4's, RS6's, R8 V10's etc. All free, of course, with lunch :) I bought my S3 shortly after one of those events.)

I do need to try Porsche and Merc. I brought my S3 circa £40,000 off the back of a Audi Sport Showcase so they do work.

Im sure they'll be bending over backwards to give you unaccompanied test drives especially if you tell them you're S3 was circa £40k.:jump:

Different thing, test drives and meets are different things and I'm just going off @veeeights comments about the other German marques. Models I'd be looking at would be comparable up to £50k or so anyways.

Never expected to be driving them alone, Stafford and Stoke were alone and were great. Just more relaxed and nothing to do with thrashing. I drove them the same as my car is driven, warm up the oil and give it the beans. No launches, no wheel spin, etc.

If Stafford and Stoke were accompanied would have still enjoyed them but they weren't so when asked for feedback I feel that the 3rd event wasn't as good and a step back overall.

Would I go again yes, I am a fan of Crewe yes.

Yeah the Audi driving experience you have to pay.......

Not have it all kindly laid on by ASN.

Not really like for like though are they.

The biggest difference being that you are representing the ASN forum when you are invited to one of their meets at an Audi dealership that could lead to the possibility of a future invite to an Audi sport showcase, which as you are aware unaccompanied test drives are the norm.:kissmyrings:

Maybe so.....

But certain forum members seemed to want to treat the cars like they were going round silverstone.

Maybe so.....

But certain forum members seemed to want to treat the cars like they were going round silverstone.

I heard some things about other members getting a bit too excited. After the incident at Stoke with the curbed alloy I checked other cars before I drove them and they all had wheel damage. Without proper checks no one knows who did what or if it was been there before.

Think all the events needs more policing to protect ASN members and the Audi garage themselves as people who damage cars should foot the bill.

As Audimad says I prefer to go on the Audi driving experience days…
That way you can really get to grips with these cars

That's not to say if I got the chance to actually attend one of the ASN meets I wouldn't go.....

But work comes first.......

So Audi as a brand aren't interested in letting prospective customers drive their cars then? ;)

Where is this thread going?

People left honest feedback
You didn't like the feedback
Said that we only wanted to thrash the cars (bit presumptuous)
Then said we should pay to go on the driving experience
Then suggested we wouldn't go because it wasn't "free"
I said Porsche provided free experience days
Now you're being overly defensive about Audi

Is it any wonder very few other people have left their "honest" feedback on this thread?

I certainly heard a lot more grumbles on the day, but no-one else has bothered to leave it on here, presumably because they would be accused of whinging, or accused of just wanting to thrash cars.

Your posts are enough to give an Asprin a headache ,your constantly criticising People ,Audi ,ASN ,everything and anything .:wtf:

Well, maybe Audi had better change their ideas if they want new customers then! ;)

(As opposed to just selling cars to people who will buy Audi everytime ;) )

PS: I think "constantly" is a slight exaggeration

I don't know whether you've noticed but this is an AUDI forum ,reading some of your posts your obviously not happy with your S3 ,even less happy that there's gonna be an RS3 and you can't wait to try the Focus RS so perhaps you should go and buy yourself Focus RS and join the Focus RS forum where I'm sure they love to hear your Audi bashing comments.:jester:

So that's it?

If someone isn't a fanboy and all sycophantic about Audi, tell them to get lost?

Just gloss over all the faults of your car and pretend everything is perfect :)

Way to go ;)

Again: Where is this thread going?

It's gone from leaving (honest) feedback to personal comments and attacks.

It's no wonder anyone else who attended is reluctant to contribute or leave feedback here, if its less than 100% positive.

But these events were organised by Sandra with the dealership and in all three events this year that'll be Swansway Garages and not Audi UK.

So thank you Sandra and Swansway Garages... :kissmyrings:

I've done two events and was/am 100% satisfied with both events...

I used to think @veeeight did this to annoy / wind people up ( me for the most part ) but he's just being honest and giving his opinion. I can definitely be called a "Audi fan boy" but there are other options available. I don't buy based on reviews, spec level etc - if I did I'd never have a Audi. I buy on opinion, my opinion - something I love others can hate - everyone needs to appreciate this is a Internet forum with a diverse set of people. Guess what? each one has their own mind and opinion.

Is he just being honest and giving his opinion by asking on more than one occasion in this topic "Again:Where is this thread going "? ,to me it looks like he's baiting and trying to get a reaction.

No, this is a thread for feedback for the Crewe event.

Were you there?

Have you left your feedback if you were

Your second post in this thread accused @The Challinor of whinging

Then you made it personal by having a go at me

Now. Who's taking this off topic and baiting again? ;)

The answer to "Where is this thread going" should be:

Leaving feedback for the Crewe Event

and not singling out people who have left their honest feedback to have a go at them.

Guys enough moaning and whinging. No one forced you to stay if you weren't happy. There were others there that enjoyed the day. Crewe Audi put on a great event and the continual moaning won't go unnoticed. So quit moaning and grow up. You guys need to appreciate that a lot of time and effort goes into planning these events, both this end and Crewe Audi end. they feed you. They treat you well, they even give you a nice gift. Where else do you get this? So think on before you moan and remember just because you didn't get to drive cars On your own. It was a meeting, not an off road showcase event or an Audi driving experience. So think carefully before you sit behind your keyboard and post anything else.
It would be much appreciated I imagine if an event could be arranged for us here in the east even if cars were or were not provided to drive

I would be delighted to organise an event for you Mark and the members of the East. Send me a list of the dealerships you would all like to visit. :) x
