What's the file limit for uploads here? I'm trying to upload an iPhone photo (5mb approx) and it is says too large for server. Grumble Grumble. Ho hum.

Very nice but some 'ouchy' swirl marks. Do you do anything in particular to pre-wash/wash/clean on a normal maintenance wash?

Only had the car about 4 weeks and we are on holiday now so haven't got around to doing a proper detail yet! Have given it a small detail while we are away, but will be giving it the full works back home!!

On a normal maintenance wash: Usually pro valet citrus pre wash, 2 bucket method with autoglym shampoo (not everyone's choice I know) with meguairs microfibre washmitt, finish off using autoglym aquawax.

Cheers:icon thumright:

I'm trying out the Autoglym Pressure Wash (snow foam). Pretty good but leaves evil streaks meaning quite a bit of leathering.

For heavy dirt I use 2 bucket method with wash mitt and GardX Wash & Wax.

The paintwork was treated with GardX by the dealer (and they didn't put in any swirls thank goodness) so doesn't require much if I stay on top of it. GardX conserver works a treat. :)

Enjoy your break!!

Thanks will do!

I was thinking about getting the autoglym snowfoam but read a few mixed reviews about it so didn't bother! Is that gardX good then?

While we were out today one of Cornwalls finest seagulls decided to empty the contents of its gut onto the right rear panel of the car which was sat it the midday sun!!! Managed to soak it and using some detailer removed the pterodactyl crap from the car but it had already started to etch the paintwork!!:mad:. I sourced some Meguairs Ultimate Compound as read good things about it and I must say after a few treatments and then a little polish and wax I managed to get rid of it. Couple of pics below but not a before shot with crap still on the car in my haste to get rid of it!!:) It was about 4" to the left of the fuel cap and the mark was about 3" wide!!!

Looks like you got it all!!

The GardX is good. I used to be an Autoglym fan (still am) but found that other detailing products (Aglaze being another one) do a slightly better job.

Here's a vid of the GardX Conserver in action.

Some pics of mine after claying, polish and wax today. First time claying so was surprised how much crap it pulls off the paint that washing doesn't.

Nice looking car mate, flat bottom steering wheel totally transforms the interior IMO, not so keen on the trim though, but each to their own, that's what makes your car individual to you. ;)

Went a trip up to John o'groats. 700 miles in 2 days, the car was a dream to drive. So much overtaking power.
