Liking your work mate

If you're weird like me and enjoy properly cleaning your car I'd highly recommend investing in a DA polisher. I have the Kestral DAS6, cost £80 but add on polishing pads and compounds it'll be more like £150 but once bought you'll be set for ages and the results are immense!

It is a da but uses bonnets so when it gives up will look at what's about bit will look around was gonna get the g220 megs mc but my missus got me this one and it works really well for what I want

Sorry mate, didn't see it in your boot full of tricks .

G220 is good, read some good reviews. For me it was the Kestral or Meg's G220. The specs are practically identical. Funnily enough all my pads and compounds are Meg's .

Might try a different compound in the future as the lacquer is super tough on ours cars and is very difficult to get flawless!

I have a g220 as well and it is a good bit of kit, but I found the megs pads to be a bit rubbish. I got a smaller backing plate and lake country pads and it made a big difference. Pads are thicker and have smaller diameter. Easier to acces smaller areas and more flexible when you press too much.

When it comes to cut and polish compounds, I've been using menzerna for years.

I've just bought the new Meg's xtra cut discs;

There's no padding to them so they're really thin. I used them with Meg's D300 compound and it's worked well. There's still light scratches in the lacquer but you really have to look to see them . Not sure if it's my technique or that the Meg's products aren't all they're cracked up to be?

Paint on audis is quite hard and it isn't easy to get rid of deeper scratches. You might want to use harder cutting compound.

Not sure thiught they would have a name like there are avus, speed lines

Just had my new cree bulbs turn up so swapped out my led prism bulbs

Original foglights been replaced with a 4300k kit looks amazing will get pictures tomorrow only for the back roads going to my caravan.

New wheels on looking good and new centre caps arrived this morning will be fitting shortly

Got my new valve caps so here they are they are meant to be locking ones but you can't get them on with the grub screw in so by by grub screw

No more grub screw that's the locking mechanism so easy on and off and will check them regularly so the don't seise on

My karcher k2 pressure washer arrived today really impressed with the build quality of it but can't wait to try it out in Sunday for a clean up of the daily avant

Been getting bits ready for my service but the missus got some Audi puddle lights will upload some pictures later when its dark

Yesterday did a full service and put in a new pipercross panel filter new oil and fuel and new clamps and was gonna do the timing belt and aux belts but couldn't get the bumper off

Why? It is **** easy to take it off

I removed all the screws from the arches and the long 6mm ones that Go into the beam and the t50 that hold the beam on to the front with the rad. There were four clips in the wings holding the edge of the bumper and was not wanting to break it. How do you get them off?

Didn't no that will do for next time but didn't want to break my bumper so will do next time

Got bored will the interior so ordered some cf wrap and IMO looks a lot better

I need to do something like this on mine because it is well tired.

Was just annoyed with the gear shift area looking really worn in looking stick all the time

Yeah. That's the worst part on my car as well. Want to do the door/dash trim as well, but it looks like a bixxxx to remove and I'm not bothered at the moment.
