All of a sudden my reception on my radio (non digital) head unit is crap!
Cd plays fine so I know it's the Ariel , am I right in assuming it's in the rear window?
And if so where does wires come from ?

Many thanks in advance

open boot lid , on left near hinge is a rubber boot going from lid to body containing wires , Ariel lead is in there and will probably be broken.

Mine also Ovid. Does the copper or metallic antenna inside need to be replaced or simply re-connected and twisted?

Just rejoin the wire, inner core then shielding, remember to insulate them from each other though.

If you need a professional repair with new coax & fakra connectors, then let me know as we repair these properly.

Work all over, rough location?

That's a way up there, I will be up north as in Yorkshire across that area soon, do you ever come down southerly at all, Cheshire area?

Managed to pull backing carpet back to look , no obvious broken wires BUT looks like corrosion in wires (green)
Does anyone know how far back the loom goes from boot?
Am I talking full loom to head unit or hopefully only from boot lid to 3/4 panel??
Also are the amp in boot a possible failure?
