Recently purchased myself a 2008 audi s3 Quattro 2.0t, within the month of buying I've been back to the dealership twice to firstly get the radio signal sorted and then a week or so after I had to go back to get a new flywheel and clutch kit! After getting the flywheel and clutch I now have a loud knocking sound when holding the clutch on the biting point and it definitely wasn't there previously! Does anyone have a clue what this could be? The car has only done 50k aswell!

Possibly a knackered DMF,or something incorrectly tightened but needs to go back.

Looks like a 3rd trip is needed then! Thank god I've got warranty!

sorry to go off on a slight tangent - you mentioned going to dealership to sort radio signal. what was wrong with it pls? my A3's radio signal has gone recently...

even if you hadn't "got warranty"... the sale of goods act covers you anyway

Does it like play fine for a few seconds and then fuzz out and come back in to playing fine again and then keeps fuzzing in and out? That's what happened to mine and it needed a new radio amp!

just out of curiosity, have you had your rear windows tinted? As the teccy first asked me about my tints whether I bought the car with them on or I've had them put on myself, asked him why would this be a problem and basically he said that there's wires for the radio and that sometimes the tints can interfere!

no the rear windows arent tinted, but thanks for coming back to me. i had the inside of the boot stripped again today looking for loose wires, and ive metered the elements in the back window but it seems ok.

It's not a problem, sorry I couldn't help! Hope it gets sorted.

Check none of the heating element strips on the rear window haven't been stripped or deep scratches. It's easy to do when cleaning the glass a bit too vigorously or a dealer sticker has been removed from the glass (usually with a razor blade) and not all of the 'strips' are for heating, some are for the aerial, if one has been broken or is deep scratches there is a possibility the aerial loop is broken which can cause some shoddy reception. Any broken strips can be fixed with the same conductive paint used to repair the heating element strips.
