Im after red stuff pads for front and rear on a 2007 2.0tdi 170. Has anyone fitted them on this model as i cant seem to find any for my car.
Cheers

I've never been impressed by EBC pads, they are inconsistent, liable to fall apart, give an odd feel to the pedal. Tried the green stuff and yellow stuff ones in the past but just don't like them, the black standard road pads even failed to lock up my wheels with hard braking, damn dangerous if you ask me. . On the other hand one or two peops say they are great. There are plenty of performance and upgraded road pads that work much better out there. Manufacturers OE pads and Pagid pads are the best in my opinion if it's just for road use. For the track there are endless possibilities depending on what car you have.

Trouble is old EBC opinions are out of date as EBC unlike other pad manufacturers update their formulations.

I think Greenstuff is on its 7th version .

Some early EBC formulas were truly shocking .

I agree they may have upped there game lately but past experience has put me off them. There are plenty of proven pads out there to choose from.

Wouldn't touch them again....
Had them on the RS3 the Redstuff were fine for about 4000 miles then they went terrible, marking discs, bite had gone, judder from deposits on long journeys
Switched to Yellowstuff and they started falling apart within 100 miles !!!!!!

Never again.

Don't blame you , did the other RS3 guys experience the same ?

If not EBC have definitely got inconsistent quality issues .
