Hi guys,

The days ago I removed the front bumper to install a new grill. I've put everything back together again...apart from the closing element.

I removed the part on its own separately to everything else on the car leaving the front bumper attached, so presume it can go back on the same way without having to remove the full bumper and attach it that way.

Problem is I didn't take any pictures or document exactly how it was attached. Ive tried looking online but can't find anything, the closest I have found is this:
http://www.partsbase.org/audi/audi-a3-s3-sportback-qu-a3-eu-2009-80700-bumper/
Part number 8P0807233 - number 35 on the diagram.

I've been trying to sort it the last two evenings between the rainstorms and darkness but I'm only getting more frustrated.

Does anyone have any knowledge or help? Sorry if its an obvious question, and thanks for any advice.

Its for a 2009MY S3

That picture doesn't work for me so I don't know what you mean.. Its fairly straight forward... Nothing has to come off the car apart from the front bumper itself, so I don't know what you mean by closing panel?

And I don't think it needed to come off, we were following a tutorial that didn't really corelate, got frustrated and ended up just removing it

Ahh.. I thought that would be the part you were talking about..

For me, i'd just take the bumper off and reattach it cause i'd imagine it being a faff on the car..

For future reference tho.. Just take off the front 9 screws at the bottom and that part should stay on the car..

you should of removed the whole bumper with this part still connected, you can try being lazy and undoing all the screws apart from the 1s undewr the bonnet you then might have enough leeway to try slot this in but then again that could be a headache I would just stick to the straight forward task of removing the whole bumper connecting I back up then putting the whole bumper unit back on atleast then you no what your doing and no naffing about
