Only just getting into biking and have been using this old shed...

Nothing like the good bikes others have posted but I've had great fun on it so far and lost a bit of timber too! Going to buy a new bike in the new year, something a bit lighter and well more modern! Was thinking about this...

Is it any good??

I've thought about second hand, I've been told I could get a great bike for a bargain but I really don't know what I'm looking for. More research required I think. With regards to weight of the bike I'm thinking of buying its MUCH lighter than the shed I've got just now!
Andrew, the Marin looks a belter. How much you looking for it? Way out of my price range I suspect!

£400 and depending where you are I can deliver it

As an avid Mountain biker myself I though that I would let you all see my weekend chariots

This one is a Canyon Spectral 8EX 2015, I use this for pretty much anything bar full on Downhill trails

And my Downhill bike, Saracen Myst Pro 2015, it's an absolute animal of a bike! Saracen is not normally a brand that I would have went for until I hired one out for the weekend at Fort William. I've not looked back since

Yeti ARC for most of the time and a Yeti ASR5 for more bumpy stuff.

Though at my age I'm thinking an electric mountain bike, a Lapierre or Trek might be the thing?

Another new bike for me, changed my Canyon for a Commencal Meta V4, it's almost as good as my downhill bike on the descents but with an added bonus in that it climbs well too

Nothing special like you guys have posted, but as my body is now knackered I don't intend doing what I used to on a MB lol

This is my recent purchase - a Mongoose Switchback Sport Hardtail

Bit on the heavy side if I'm being honest, but for my uses its great

Not a bad spec for the money IMO

My son & I run carbon bronsons though I've just had a SC solo and YT Capra CF stolen
The insurance has been dealt with really well through axa and wheelies but I'd rather have the bikes back
Do mostly lakes natural rides though I'm 30 mins from Dalby and go digging putting in off piste descent in

Cheers
Mark
