There are times when I truly despair at how moronic parts of our society are.

The guy deserved to be sacked, his general attitude is disgusting, racist, antagonistic, violent over a poxy dinner, childish behaviour & he had a privileged position & he abused it, serves him right, shame he will now get paid even more to act the same on other channels.

We had a similar thing happen at work last year and the result was that the person who was assaulted, was the one who was made to feel bad about it all. The one who carried out the assault behaves the same and will most likely do it again.
I don't really have much sympathy for JC, he was always pushing the boundaries and his BBC career was always going to end in a hail of bullets.

Threatening the BBC Chief with death is childish, stupid and a product of FaceTwit ranting of the ignorant.

Try punching someone on your street in the face and see what happens......!

What is this world coming to???

He is lucky he is not getting charged for assault!!

How serious a threat was is and how do the quantify the threat ?

I use to work for British Gas. I had a conversation with a customer who owed a large sum on a prepayment meter. Call ended up with him threatening to knife me. Later that day he turned up at the reception. Thankfully he had calmed down and the presence of security made sure he behaved.

At the end of the day, if you lamped someone at your work, chances are you'd be sacked on the spot for gross misconduct. Why should Clarkson be any different to anyone else?
