Second one is the Asy1 not Asy2.

i usually order from camskill, but seen as you work for a garage surely its cheaper to order them from your wholesaler?

We use stapletons and last time i checked on the continentals SC 3's they were cheaper from ebay, but i will double check on the goodyears tomorrow before i commit through ebay.

Would you say the 91Y are the ones to go for or will 91W do ??

£310 delivered isnt bad at all lets see how much stapletons want for them the robbing gits haha

Good price that. I just bought 4X Uniroyal rainsport3's for 304 @ lovetyres, fitted 334. :tapedshut:

Interesting tyre factoid's.

1.Uniroyal are the last tyre manufacturer to give you 8mm tread depth, all the rest are 7mm.....

2. ...unless you have a 911gt3 where the manufacturer recommended tyre [note singular] comes with 4mm.

And Porsche "recommend" replacement at 3mm....

Well through work there £100 each !!!!

Think il be getting from camskill.

I did look at rainsport 3's but was undecided as to get them or the goodyears ??

Yeah. Assy 2 is a good tyre.

v good price that almost worth grabbing 2 sets...........

XL have a higher load rating through construction including stiffer sidewalls, I bought the rainsports in 92XL for this reason...

still have never been able to find a laid down pressure for a B5 avant tq in 18" btw....

Found this thread searching for tyre options for the B5, and thought i'd update where I just purchased mine from.

I used tyreleader.co.uk, and got 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 for £259.56, which I thought was decent! Prices seem to fluctuate a lot on the site, so maybe watch for a bit and see when they're low to order. I looked yesterday and they were > £70 each, today they were £65.

Random question but whats the DOT code on the tyres are they last year or older just want to see if there new or sat in storage for ages !!

I need one for mine.

i've ordered quite a few sets of Eagle F1's and thus far have never received an "old" set. DOT code has always been within a few months of purchase.

Yeah. Same here. Pretty much always get performance tyres from camskill and never had old ones.

Sorry for the delay in this. Only just got the tyres fit this week. The the code is 0815, so they're recent. How that helps. Tyres seen great so far, but not had much chance to drive it in anger yet

Yeah, that's why I didn't bother with the rest. I assumed he only wanted the recent code. I was pretty impressed with how recent they were. I've had them in my possession a few weeks now, so they must have pretty much rolled off the line and over to me!
