New 2015 RS3!!!

I don't think this has been posted.

It's a extended video of one posted earlier.

Some good close up shots of interior, seats and exterior too.

Last much less time. Plus, they are not so good for daily driving as they have to actually warm up to be truly useful and give you the extra bite over a steel disc! Plus the 'feel' is not the same and some people wouldn't like it for sure.

What utter tosh!!!! The Ceramics are said to have a life of 100k, yes they cost more, but the bite and feel of them is far superior to the standard steel setup. For daily driving they are also fine, I've not had any problems with mine. Another plus is the lack of brake dust :thumbs up:

I'd certainly spec them again. :arco:

Nice vid of the interior, looks nice but I wonder how much of it was options?

Part of me is really drawn to that cream interior but I just don't know if it would suit me long term - or how it would wear / mark ?

Black looks great but is a 'safe' choice which I will probably go for

Burnt orange?

Just been sent the official released brochure this morning....So there are no carbon backed buckets, no carbon interior trims and no different wheel options but damn they're charging £900 for black rotors... 900 just to to change the colour of the wheel?
Pretty disappointed mainly that there's no buckets And that il be forking out atleast 2k on things I thought would be a std option.
i can't see me speccing for any less than 50k
rs4 becomes more tempting...but I think il stick with the 3.

Just had call from my dealer, they spoke with Audi UK today and orders cant be placed with the factory until mid-april. Customer production starts mid June with first customer deliveries towards end of July. Time to save some more cash towards it, so every cloud. Ive emailed him the brochure and he reckons its 100% legit.

Spill the beans...
What deal have you managed to get? Cost of the car including toys etc.
Deposit amount? Monthly cost? Balloon payment?

I thought they would need the configurator up and running to give a pcp quote, be interesting to see what residual they are giving the RS3

+1 I want to know the residual as it will dictate the affordability.

my dealer said he couldn't run a pcp without the configurator

Yeah, ditto that. Although the residual is of course contingent on a defined annual mileage and length of the Agreement, so best to get your own quote me thinks.

I now have the new RS Brochure, dealer sent me the PDF yesterday - a bit ****** off that you have to spec ****** mag ride to get the sport exhaust. Nardo no cost option, but was hoping to see Ibis in there too... £895 for the black rotors, ouch... my chosen spec, £47,260. Double ouch.

What's the difference in exhausts? Standard to the sports exhaust? I take it the one in official trailer is the sports exhaust?

Im working on a baseline of a £45k build. £8k deposit on a 4 year PCP at 10k miles pa should come out around £500pm

True true, guess I should have asked for residual + term + annual mileage :)

My preferred spec is £54k I think (doing rough mental arithmetic as I scanned the brochure) o_O

I think we are all wondering this.

I read in the PDF brochure that standard model equipment includes:
"RS dual-branch exhaust system with two oval tailpipe trims"

So it is unclear if the optional sports exhaust will 'look' any different or how differently it will sound.

I don't think mag ride has been a big seller on the S3, so the cynical part of me wonders if they have a parts bin full of mag ride and they see this as a good opportunity to shift it.

Isn't Mag ride standard on the S3 Saloon which comes with 19" rims as standard? and you can only have the 19s on the Sportback if you spec Mag ride. Seems a pretty inconsistent policy if you ask me.

Its an RS3 nothing to do with an S3 different cars ,different prices ,different combinations, its easy.

The red car in the trailer video has the standard exhaust as it's chrome. The optional sports exhaust will be finished in black.

I was told they would be finished in chrome, the internals of the exhaust will be the difference but then in the last week i have had so much ***** from audi id rather believe you!

That's the info from the original launch in Finland pre Geneva. Black tips on the option exhaust makes sense to differentiate it from the standard one.

Thats what differentiates the exhausts throughout the whole Audi RS range now.

I'm betting half you lot won't buy/rent an RS3 if all you're weriting about is the colour of your exhaust tips or what colour your mate think you should have...

John if you think the excuses are bad on this proper RS3 section the S3 boys on the 8v section are falling over over themselves making up all sorts of nonsense comparing an RS3 to their S3's, AN RS3 IS AN RS3, NOT AN S3, NOT A MAPPED S3, AN S3 WILL NEVER BE AN RS3 NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO TO IT WILL IT NEVER BE AN RS3,IT WILL ALWAYS BE AN S3.

I drive an S3 and I think you are right! :)

Thank you kenny ,I'm not slagging of the S3 as its a great car in its own right just like an A3 diesel is a great car in its own right .No matter what someone does to an RS3 it can't be made into an A3 diesel that has great fuel economy and low road tax .

My point: just go get the car; most of the add-on bits you'll not even see when you're giving and enjoying the RS3's all-weather potential...

For me the RS3 is a truly great motor car!

I drove my first on a Wednesday (12/10/11) and had purchased BLUEY, one of the first of three UK available cars 3-days later. ALL of the original UK cars had already been sold so we had to find an RS3 that would meet the majority of our needs and for me that was: a 5-pot engine, 7-speed DSG, heated seats, and superb brakes. Nothing else was on the 'wanted' list but on the 'not-wanted' list were bucket seats and privacy glass. As for the colour we'd have preferred Daytona grey.

But there on Piston-Heads (13/10/11) was BLUEY, so close to 'our' spec, and in an Audi exclusive Cornflower blue; hmm, not really into blue but hey, it's just a colour; and it does have all the other bits.

On the 22/10/11 with a memorable drive from Chorleywood to Staffordshire BLUEY was (and still is) in my garage...

With 3.1/2 years of Audi RS3 ownership behind me and more to come; oh happy days...

By the time some of these 'potential' buyers on here have debated the whys and wherefores of the options list, the MK3 will be out and I'll be nearing pension age.

you need to get it right, my first RS3 didn't have roof rails or BOSE it bugged me badly every time i looked at it or played some tunes ...

anyway there is no rush this time, its not a limited run and waiting means they will hopefully have solved all the inevitable issues we find :)

To be fair though even if people are talking about but wont be ordering one, its quite helpful to the guys that will be buying one. And you never know some maybe purchase later down the line.
