Have a read through the above... you may want to be a bit more specific on model of 8L as it makes a difference... you may also want to be a bit more speciifc on your definition of customisations...

Generally speaking exterior mods are limited... A3 owner sometimes fit S3 front and rear bumpers and an S3 rear boot spoiler... Leon Cupra R splitter is a common modification too... as your have a 2001 model then it will already be a facelift so no need to swap the lights around from pre-facelift to facelift

Interior wise again very limited... A3 owners sometimes fit S3 interiors as they come with leather or alcantara Recaros... flip side is they are heavier than A3 seats

Tuning wise the skys the limit... how deep are your pockets
