So today I went and got the chrome window trim vinyl wrapped in satin black and I am very pleased with the results. I think it matches in well with the colour!:)

Some before and after snaps, what do you think?

Cheers guys! :)

Paul, yep I did go for the removable plate like Manda, it was a great idea from Manda! :) ... Awh I am not a blingy type of guy and it wasn't working with my colour scheme!lol

Lol, dont cry now! Mine cost me 30quid!lol But I have been to him a good few times in the past!

I've just had mine done last week by a guy in the North East.
Was £90 to have them wrapped in Gloss Black and he's done an amazing job.
I was never a fan of the chrome window trims, looks a lot sportier in black.

I'll post pics up when I get chance.

Good stuff mate, lookiing forward to seeing your pictures! :icon thumright:

Originally I was for going gloss but a friend had his done in satin which looked nice also!lol .. I was then in a delima!

So when I got there the guy wrapped the pieces of chrome on the passenger front and rear door, one in satin and the other gloss. Once I seen the two against the car the satin suited the colour scheme I was going for better! :) .. But the gloss was still nice! :thumbs up:

How do they finish off inside the door by windscreen?

Assuming the saloon is same as avant the chrome goes inside the opening and it's like ridged underneath.

Do They not wrap that part?

I will have a nosy later and let you know mate! .. I know at the back when you open the door the chrome is wrapped underneath inside the door, can't see chrome at all!:)

I was thinking the exact thing when I dropped the car off.

When I picked the car up I was amazed by the job. All the wrap covers the ridges and he also left gaps for where the screw holes are.

I'd certainly go to someone who knows what they are doing, quite a fiddly job if you want it done properly.

I agree Chris, best to get someone who knows what they are doing! It was amazing watching the guy doing mine, he made it look so easy and was as OCD as me!

Satin best choice shaun;)
thinking getting my own re-done how long did it take him shaun might worth wee road trip

I'm in the south too and have been quoted for £240 for satin black on window surrounds, roof rails and grill. I'm not sure if this is a good deal or not? Seeing as DJ was £90 and Razza was quoted £200 it doesn't seem too bad? I just can't decide whether or not to get it done.

large sheet of 3m vinyl wrap , full width of tops of door ,then appield to car and cur larger around the chrome trim so the edges can be tucked in . that way there's less hassle trying to curve the vinyl .
