Great colour, my favourite in fact, I'm sure it gets many comments. Shame they don't do a manual any more.

I topped up as soon as I got the S4 and just refilled, 27MPG fill to fill, not bad considering the majority was with low tyre pressures from the dealer! About 2/3 sensible dual carriageway and motorway cruising, the rest local shortish gentle runs. My average over 3 years with my 3.0TDI was 32.6MPG (measured not display), so not too bad in comparison, should improve as loosens up, although will need to restrain the right foot or it could go down a lot.

Do they do a manual on the early b8's by any chance? I was actually looking for a manual b7 S4 about a year ago but couldn't find one.

They did, up to the facelift I believe.

As for the colour, it's been said before, I'll say it again - red is the best colour! Esp contrasting with the mirrors. It's a proven fact that red cars run about 20bhp more than standard too!

I wondered why my new one went like a bat out of hell when it had the same engine as my old black one :lmfao:

Yes the early b8 was available as both. You can get a b6 in manual too but I think they're a bit dull myself. There's a few on the Autotrader but they're not that great specs

Yes Misano Red. Not certain I'd have chosen Red given a free choice, more noticeable which has advantages and disadvantages, although I chose Brilliant Red for my S3 and many other cars in the past, but I do like it and the car was too good a deal to miss.
