I need two new tires shortly, to replace some Continental Sport Contact 5Ps.

Considering either getting the same although they don't seem too last too long, or going for Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s.

Any opinions on which is best? Or if there's a similarly priced far better option I've overlooked?

I'd stick with the Conti's, they are a great tyre, Evo's alround test winner from last year, I ran them on my B6 S4.

Not a fan of the PZero's I have on the RS, I'd like to change them but can't justify removing new tyres from a new car.

I've got conti sport contact 3 and they are wearing out fast and getting noisy. I had a good look around and came to the same decision as you the only other one was the Dunlop equivalent which looked quite good ( sport maxx rt from memory).

I changed the tyres to Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2s on my last A4 and still going strong after 12,000 miles until i p/x it. ;)
Not like the p-zeros before, just didn't last long.

Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's. Stick like sh1t to a blanket and wear well, I'm getting these when I next change. Slightly poor on mpg due to higher rolling resistance, if you can live with that then all good.

If you are just changed front or rear pair try to maintain a similar tread pattern to the others, all 4 tires working together is better than 2 pairs working independently.

If you have a quarto you should be thinking about changing all 4 at the same time.

Sportmaxx rt is a grippy tyre but the wear rate is terrible

They have massive grooves for wet driving but found them skittish 5mm and below.
Much preferred the vred vortis myself to the dunlops

No problem at all, maybe not the best ever in the wet but I've had worse and the rest of it makes up for it. I've also had Dunlop sportmaxx sp's which wore well but didn't give very good grip.

I think that's 1 review out of many to give them poor, most I have read have been good.

Conti Contact 3's St the moment which are very average.

I tried a few tyres on my B7 but went back to the Conti 5s. Was happy with the dry and wet grip and the wear didn't seem unreasonable.

I had Michelin PS3s on my 3.0TDI, found them very good, the last set seemed better than the originals and the first replacements. Originals lasted 12k and first replacements 15k from memory. I've had various Goodyear F1s in the past, all excellent, the Assy2s I had on my S3 were even brilliant in the snow, although did not last anything like as long as the original Michelins. My S4 has P7s, yet to see what they're like only done 400 miles. I has Conti 3s on my B7, good but only lasted 8-10k from memory.
