The wait begins again!!

After the missing options and finding about a dozen scratches on the boot, been to Audi today and they've agreed that it's not acceptable so going to order a replacement. Hopfully won't be too long a wait. Good news thou I can keep the current one until he replacement arrives.

So good on northampton Audi for not fighting and just accepting it was good enough.

That's really good news. I think the lesson is - if anything is wrong sooner one complains the better.
 
And the other lesson is - take care which dealer you use! This is the second time this year we have heard of this happening there.
 
Only two of the problems were attributable to the dealer, the main issue was with the paint quality on the boot, I wasn't prepared to pay all that money and the to have it painted.
 
Glad to hear you got it sorted Andy - great news !! Will you make any spec changes or go with your original order ?

This mix up of options must be starting to hurt the dealers first Kimme with the wrong gearbox and yours (both Northampton) and also Naughts. Maybe it's the dealers cut flushed down the drain and Audi doesn't get to hear about it ??
 
Given mines Northampton I'm now very worried.

How long have you got to wait?

keeping the same spec, but they are looking into a few options as compensation for all the **** ups.

Apparently Audi are fully aware because there have been quite a few orders not turning up as expected, all ordered around October last year. So it's being looked into, don't think it just effects northampton.

Find out next week, they've assured me that all orders are now check regularly to make sure nothing's changed.

Yeah I've had both the garage and audi order forms every time I've made a change.

Glad you getting it sorted, hopefully not too long to wait.

Huge Downer........Time to Reboot though, may be you will change spec and colour who know's, but l hope your next car is better,and in fairness to Audi, BIG TIME...for letting you order a new car...pretty immense if you ask me

Will just be happy that it has all the options we spec and no scratches:kissmyrings:. Anything else they add will be a bonus.
 
WoW!! I missed this post .....you rejected it!! and rightly so by the sounds of it. Fair play to Northampton Audi for accepting and resolving too :)

I am due to visit them Monday for a check up and the dreaded engine rattle!! Hopefully I get somewhere with that too

Hope your new car arrives soon :thumbs up:
 
Looking at BW18 - should be confirmed in the next few days.

Glad you are getting a new motor for the problems you have had! Audi looked after me on my last car when i took delivery of my A1 to then find my Xenons weren't on the car! massive disappointment and a complete rebuild but they did the same and let me keep the wrong vehicle till the new one arrived. This was with Bolton Audi.

My car was delayed and as I was without a car I was given another a3. Again from Bolton Audi, very impressed with their service.

All confirmed for BW18, same spec as previous - including the Carbon mirrors. Northampton have offered the GuardX treatment for free, is it worth it?
 
^^^ Excellent news !!! Personally I'd get them to contribute towards a detailer rather using Guard X a mate has it on his Alfa and doesn't really rate it and from what I've sent of it beading there are better protection coatings out there.

Thanks Rob, might see what they have to say. Detailer sounds a good option.

Collected the replacement car today, all appears to be ok, only downer Northampton Audi did ask if I wanted to add any options, only change I asked for as for deletion of smokers pack, guess what they forgot :sob:.

Separated at birth ! So glad you got it sorted. How many miles had you done in the old one ? 3k up in mine now.
 
Just noticed black or carbon mirror caps ? Either way they suit it much better.

2600 miles was just nicely run in so must remember to be carefull with the new one. There carbon mirrors look much better with the rest of the black. Was strange seeing 2 cars with the same registration.

Congrats Andy :rockwoot: ...Glad you have finally got the car you ordered and all working as one would expect!!!

Hopefully you wont get the rattle on this one :wtf:
