So my friend the handy mechanic fitted my new shocks today but noticed vibration at 70 which I had also and put it down to tracking. so he balanced the wheels to find the front passenger side wheel is badly buckled .
anyone got any idea where I could get a hold of 1 wheel with out breaking the bank?

thanks

Paul

Sorry to hear mate, check on gumtree it might be worth a try or even eBay! :)

Thanks guys.
I'm looking on eBay buy they are like 140 each!!!!!

tis probably the reason why the driveshaft was goosed, must have a curb or something pretty hard to buckle the wheel eh!!!

Paul, what about get a quote to see how much to get it unbuckled. They use to charge about £40, but depends on how bad. ;)

hows about swapping it to the rear until I can get it sorted, would that be safer and reduce the vibration hopefully?

TBH Mike I didn't even know that was possible. do you know where does it?

Depends on what part of the country you live, i've just had a quick look on google and there are companies all over that do it. :)

I had a buckle on one of my 19s a while back by a pot hole , i had the buckle removed by Diamond Alloys but it cost me about 70 quid , they do it with hydraulic rams on the inside of the wheel and it didn't get marked up by them so no re-furbing required.
But if you can pick up a wheel get one, i couldn't find one second hand with the same offset as mine. But as said put it on the back till you get it sorted.

Where are you located. I still have my Winters on until the end of the month, so you could borrow a wheel if you are local to Ripon? Then get yours trued.

Thanks for the offer Zafi but I'm in Newcastle. My father in law has a boat moored at ripon though. Lovely place
I will stick it on the back for now until I replace the tyres then try get it sorted whilst keeping an eye on ebay/gumtree for replacements.

Cheers for the advice mate. Will be sticking on the back for now. Have found a company in Newcastle just waiting for a quote

Post a pic of your alloy with size, width and et, I'm quite sure we will all keep an eye out for one for you.

There is a breakers local to me, do you want me to get a cost and see what the shipping would be?

Shaun, u r a gent. Would be excellent to get a rough price for when the finance will allow.
I'm in Newcastle. I will also check local breakers but from what I see on eBay most breakers know the value if these wheels and most I have seen have been badly curbed. 140 for a half decent is the best I have found.
Thanks mate

ive used this place before to unbuckle a wheel ,its in Westerhope.
Fat Tony is the lad you need to speak to.

thanks mate, I've just had a quote from them and looking at £60 to repair it so not too bad.
still waiting for the garage I bought the car from to see if they will cover it, although I doubt it

What you have to be careful of is buying another second hand wheel with a buckle in it.

There's one on gumtree, Houston, Renfrewshire. Have a look, if you fancy it I can pick it up if you paypal me the £80 and you pay/arrange postage mate.

Thanks JG, I'm going to wait and see if the garage I bought the car gets me one. If not then I'll probs just get it repaired for 60 quid.
Thanks for taking the time to look and offering to help. It's much appreciated :o.k:
