Hi All,

I know this has probably been done to death but I don't have time to search and need to order some tyres quick.

Where is the cheapest place to get some new tyres? I'm after 255/35R19.

I'm currently running Continental Contact Sport 5P's which are fantastic in the wet (Unless anybody else can recommend alternatives!).

Cheapest so far is £134 with my local cheapest tyre fitting centre quoting £163

I have tried:
Camskill (Who want too much in postage costs to my postcode!)

Oponeo

Tyreleader

Anybody reccomend any alternative cheap sites?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried Blackcircle Ewan? :) x

Just had 4 Goodyear eagle F1 assymetrics 2s fitted at HiQ for £610, great price and can't fault the service.

It was between goodyears and Contis but thought I would stick with Contis due to have them on the back and the grip like nothing else!

Ewan I went to Oponeo and got x 4 Eagle F1's in 19" for just over £500 delivered. Was at the time the cheapest place so worth re-checking as prices do fluctuate.

Take care as 'cheap' tyres can often mean 'old' tyres.

Blackcircles are GOOD: I recently ordered 4 x Michelin Pilot Sport 3's for our A2; they were delivered and fitted within 72-hours and they all had the same manufacturing date of December 2014.

I also had a failed order for 4 x Vredesteins with MYTYRES a couple of weeks before and would NOT go to those guys for a FOUR for the price of ONE offer. A good company if the order goes right but if they get it wrong MYTYRES (all in Germany of course) leave it all to you to get yer money back and I do have the e-mails. BEWARE MY TYRES...

Oponeo have the Conti 5p's for £134 but I can get at the local tyre place for £163.

What do people rate more?
The Conti's or the Goodyears?

I use Camskill usually.
All New Tyres as a second preference - they are cheap but call to make sure they have them in stock before ordering.

Camskill want too much for postage to my postcode! I have used them before and their correspondence is not very good

Have u tried your local Audi stealers.
In January my local stealers offered to supply and fit
Conti 5 for 110£ inclusive for 225 40 18.
Also try kwickfit.

I do rate the contis but most reviews rate the goodyears as good, if not better, plus I only managed to get about 9000 miles out of my last two sets so thought I'd give the goodyears a bash.
Audi will price match tyres so that may be worth trying.

I've had my Contis on since Nov 13. The rears still have 7mm and my fronts are down to just over 2mm and I've done around 20000 miles.
I decided to stick with the Contis as the rears would still be Contis. I went with my local tyre place who were £162 a tyre. Audi were £244!!!!

What I would be interested in is the difference in grip / road noise / and wear differences between the goodyears and Contis.

Yeah I saw tyre leaders. By the time I would have had to pay fitting costs it wasn't much extra to just go with my local tyre place

Tyre leaders for me

More importantly for me is finding the right fitters who won't mark or damage my wheels when changing tyres over :thumbs up:

Same here, I always buy on line and get them home delivered. I then take them to the tyre fitters I've always used, so I know they won't damage the alloys.

Oponeo for me.
Recently got a set of nexen 225/40 18's for £52 each and a set of 265/35 19 toyo proxy t1r ao's for £31 each! Think the last one could have been a mistake though, but they sent me them still.

£31 for 19" tyres???!!!! BARGAIN! Even if toyos are the noisiest tyres going it's worth putting up with for that price!

that was inc vat and delivery too!
They're sat in the garage waiting for when I need them now. Got I hope they're not too noisy! that one of the reasons i want to change what's on now :(
