The joys of fuel lines

HELP!!!!

I did a service on my car including fuel filter. Managed to break one of those stupid little clips so as a temporary measure have jubilee clipped in a short length of pipe however this is not standing up to the test of time. Can anybody revise on a permanent repair or where to source a replacement pipe?

The replacement pipe comes in a set of 3, which costs crazy money, at least from a main Audi dealer. I broke one of the clips too, the one on the fuel filter, which is on the line coming from the pump. What I did, is replace the whole line with flexible fuel hose, 8mm ID. I reused the 90-degree clip that connects to the pump, jubilee clipped the hose to that. To get it in place, I lowered the EMPTY fuel tank by removing 3 of the 4 bolts on the straps that secure it. That gave just enough room to feed the hose through. To feed it through, I tied it to the original line, and pulled it through into the cabin.

You can buy the retaining clips in the fitting if that's what you have broken? just I can't find any in this country though! but they must be available somewhere. Some info in this thread http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/threads/fuel-leaking-out-of-my-car.237536/ also in that thread a3-lee has said he got a replacement pipe from tps for £18
