Right i recently swapped my S3 for a 2.0 Tdi 140 as i needed to free up some cash, and naturally I'm pining after more power. My A3 is a 2011 2.0 Tdi but its done 110k (one owner was leased to a car parts company) so FSH etc and everything works as it should and it had a new EGR valve before i picked it up, theres no issues with the clutch or turbo but this is what I'm worried about with a remap, i know it can be pot luck sometimes but has anyone got any experience with remapping a high miler?

Bought mine with 150k miles on clock, remapped after taking care of injectors (rough idle) and couldn't be happier. Mine is PD though, yours is CR so it should have even less problems. This is just my personal experience though.

Yeah just spoke to Ecotech near me in North Wales he said just to watch the clutch but if it's done motorway miles it should be fine and if there's any sign of clutch slip he would reign the torque in!!

lol no if it's slips he'd reduce the torque. Simon did mine i was on 163k on a pd 170 now nearer to 167k and still smiling

I would be quite happy with 400NM.. Same as what my S3 had!!

I recommend keeping boost pressure standard on high mileage BKD as they are prone to turbo failure.

If it's a 2011 car it wouldn't be a BKD engine would it? I thought the BKD was a PD engine but surely a 2011 car will have the newer common rail engine with DPF.

We tried for more but the standard turbo won't take any more just over fuels and pump out some smoke
