Im in the process of looking to buy an sq5 I have read a lot of reviews of what MPG does it do
I have heard the sales people say in the 40 s
Could anyone give me any light on this please?

I was in Glasgow shopping centre the other day and they had a BMW X4 3d on show and the guy said to me they do between 40 and 50
Funny I never said anything my brother in law works for BMW and he drives one he doesn't hammer it and gets around 31/33

I don't own an SQ5 but had a drive in one the other weekend at the Stafford Audi meet. Did about 20 miles in it and looking at the trips on it I could believe it would be in the 40's on a run, more like mid 30's around town.
They do make a nice noise, you certainly wouldn't think it was a diesel.
It seems to me that what ever the manufacturer says the mpg is you won't get that, the test cycle they use doesn't really replicate real world driving and is done with a vechicle optimised for maximum mpg in a laboratory enviroment.
Sit on a dual carriageway at 60mph and I would imagine you would see some really good mpg figures.

Karl.

Thanks Karl

My car has the same engine and I am averaging about 38mpg with 45mpg on a long motorway run. I would expect the SQ5 to get slightly less. Round town I am lucky to get low 30s. Brilliant engine.

still more than my old type R GT.... ****** gut bag, averaged 22mpg!

i'm looking at the SQ5 for next year, they sound amazing
