Just ordered new car

S line sportback 1.6tdi black
I went for the 1.6 because I need a car with good fuel consumption I've got a s3 8l for power ,
so I spent a little more on the spec I choose

Flat black paint brilliant
Black roof rails
Black styling pack
Privacy glass
Panoramic glass sunroof
Heated front seats
Led interior light package
Comfort package
Auto release function
Technology pack + Audi connect

I'm pleased with my options would you I missed any good ones ?
Also opinions on the 1.6tdi
I had the older 105 ps version in my Monte Carlo Wich I though was good ?

I've found the 1.6 (110ps version) to be a decent engine so far. The car is quiet and refined inside (and I have a cabrio which lets in more noise than a tin top), it has perfectly adequate torque and I've never felt it to be underpowered either around town or on the motorway. Granted, it's no fire breather, but it isn't designed to be - although I did manage to get 125mph out of mine on a German autobahn, which is more far more than you'd ever want to be doing in the UK.

Economy wise, I've been a little disappointed so far, with the best I've seen being around 54 MPG on a 200ish mile motorway run from Glasgow to Burnley with the cruise set mainly at 70 MPH and 50 through the temporarily limited sections. I do wonder though if that is because I have 18" wheels with 225 section tyres. I'm making the same journey this coming weekend and currently have my 16" winter wheels on the car with 205 section tyres, I'll be interested to see if there's any significant difference.

Interesting all I want in the car IS just a little poke when needed ,Have you noted how many miles you get to a full tank ?

I found my engine really loosened up around 18000 miles. I have been between 52mpg and 63mpg on a 30 mile trip to work.
The commute is very hilly though, also I have had my 16" winter wheel and tyres on, don't know if that made much of a difference?
Generally the mpg was around mid 50's and low 60's though.
The engine will never set the world alight for performance but that's not why you ordered it I'm guessing?

Can't comment on the engine fella, but most people suggest ticking one of the audio upgrade boxes. Std system is pants apparently.

I had a quick listen In a demo car sounded ok , I was pushing on my limit when I was choosing my options

I have to admit, I've never found this out! I have a routine of jet washing the car and topping up the tank every time I get home, so it's never come close to empty.

Don't think you would notice Black roof rails on a black car? Either go for silver ones or ditch them all together and upgrade the sound system to the ***!!:)

I think if I got the silver roof rails maybe then change the black pack to standard, I like the look of black black black ,,

Just for you mate, I ran the car all weekend without refilling. From brim full to 15 miles showing on the range, I got 537 miles, mainly motorway miles with the cruise set at 70 and a bit of round-town stuff too. The motorway MPG did improve with the smaller wheels, incidentally; the average on the DIS for my run from Burnley to Glasgow last night (just over 200 miles) was 58.5.
