Very lucky! My missus doesn't even know I've got it. Its my wedding present to myself, but a few months early haha

Yes very lucky mate. But of shock when opened it. To top that off the Mrs bought me a track day in an Ariel atom for valentines present. I must be doing sumin right lol.

Haha I'm not sure. But at mo I don't care. I going to see if can strip car at work this week or next week and fit the intercooler kit. Then get rolling roaded to see figures on standard turbo. Then it's bv43 and map time. I'm doing all this to my daily driver when I have a 500 bhp scooby in the garage lol. Oh well.

Can't have a slow daily! Hoping to get all mine fitted next weekend. Egr is still disconnected and still no eml on

Small update guys, the darkside fmic isn't a great fit on the b6 I guess there is more room on the passat than the a4. It does fit but needs a bit if modification to fit behind the bumper and keep the fogs. I'm having the intercooler outlet cut and re tig welded in the morning then I'll get some better photos up. Also to fit the b6 the bumper reinforcement bar does need some trimming although it might just be me tryin to keep it all behind the bumper nice and tight.

But for now the bv43 is fitted, along with the egr delete and most of the fmic kit

And the difference between the std pd130 garret and the bv43

Not a massive difference in size but the vnt should make it good fun I hope

Lookin' good so far :icon thumright: shame about the extra intercooler work and needing to cut the reinforcement bar but I'm sure the benefit will far outweigh the cons, reinforcement bar generally snaps in the event of an incident anyway (ask how I know :().

So it's not worth the extra £s for a dark side kit then! Sorry but I would fumming, over £200 extra compared to a universal kit, and still it needs re-welding and MORE money spent on it, sorry must be the Yorkshire man in me but it would be goin back if it was mine, you buy a kit for a A4 for it to fit with no issues!!!

There's not many sellers that guarantee 0 trimming, in fact I think none of them do, since they all resell whatever they find made in China. I think AWE (US company) has a cool kit that doesn't require trimming, but it's well over 1k imported.

to be fair you have to cut and remove quite a bit of parts from the passat front end i thought it would not be a direct fit as i know how limited the space is gutted as i had fingers crossed :(

Well its on but it needed alot of modification to fit. Definitely not worth the extra money, and if I'm honest after my 4 mile drive home from the workshop I didn't really notice any difference in power from running it in std pd130 form. Guess the time will tell once its remapped. It didn't feel to pull aswell on the bv43 as it did with the std turbo

The will be loads of lag till mapped, until then get it on the motorway. U will soon notice the difference lol. Looks cool though

Finally fitted all correctly. I had a pipe incorrectly supplied but darkside soon sorted that out.

Here's the full kit fitted

Looks good, get it mapped and it will feel wicked, I pray you have quattro- my last b6 estate nearly killed me whilst aquaplaning on a overtaking maneuver ! Anyway, the bv43 turbo is a good way of keeping your flywheel in one piece- it builds torque gradually and holds it up the rev range ! It will put a lot more strain on your clutch though but it will make the car more driveable especially with a slight tweak of the N75 map !

I have a universal Toto sports front mount to go on mine very similar size to that one from dark side. It was only about 60 quid and a very good friend is going to fab me up some hard pipes at a fraction of the cost of these kits from dark side. I have had the intercooler mounted and also had to do a fair bit of trimming on the bumper bar . I had a fro t mount on my 1.8t which was a direct fit but again needed the bumper bar trimming I thing this is inevitable on our cars as it is tight to fit a intercooler in their.

Quick question, can you put the engine cover back on with that set up?

Great pics. Let us know how it feels when re-mapped.

Shall do. The map is being written atm and once I've replaced the turbo we'll get it loaded up and adjusted to suit on the road

Nobody it's going to send you a map for your car as there are many variables in the ecuation. For starters you need to modify your own stock file then add bv43 N75 duty cycle which was only been used on EDC 16 ecu on the b7 with siemens ECU/nozzles, then the injection quantity and advance maps needs massaging to account for the extra fuel from the larger pd nozzles. As you can see it's not an easy 30min job and will take many, many tries to get right. Best would be to get onto ECU Connection and ask for someone to write a map for you- will cost you money though !

what to do
restore the old turbo I do not have nobody to remap this

Since the chap above opened up this post again..

Any comments about your set up jimmyb592 ?

What does it look like with the front mount on ? Ive always loved the look of the FMIC on the B6, stealth or sitting mean without any lower grill!
