Anyone with a Black Editon Quartz Grey Avant?

Not a black edition, but Quartz Grey Avant that I nearly owned about 6 weeks ago... but managed dodge a bullet after finding it had been wound back 65k and had outstanding finance and the kind garage didn't bother to tell me about these 'added features' haha!

I nearly own a Black Edition Quartz Grey Avant, as put a deposit down last week and now just waiting for my loan to be sorted.

Hi, no not yet.

Still waiting for my loan to appear on my account before I can agree a collection date.

Is it easy to transfer a private plate over, as wanted to my plate on the A4 straight away instead of putting it on retention then transferring it later on. What's confusing me is how to do the tax as it's not currently taxed so plan to do this online a few days before picking it up but do I tax it using its original reg or the private plate?

lol sorry to laugh but I have just been through this ridiculous process and no its the least easy thing to do,
you have to have both reg docs of your current car with private reg on and new reg doc, sent both to the DVLA and it can take upto 4 weeks to come back,
as soon as u have the cash and if your part ex'in your car against the new one, I would go the dealer and ask them to send off both reg docs as this makes it easier for u but don't think u will have the docs back in time to put the plates straight on.
apparently the easiest way to do this is pay a little more than the £80 transfer fee and pay I think £110 to put the plate on hold when u know your looking for new car then after u have bought a new car, transfer it to the new one. I thought there would surly be a seamless process which would be quick but its not, stupid system. grrr

No probs for laughing. It sounds easy in principle by transferring from one car to the next and suppose that would be ok if I already owned both cars, but trying to do that from my current car onto a car I'm about to buy (but do not yet have an agreed collection date) may not be as easy as first thought. I guess it will be best to put it on retention and transfer later even if it does cost an extra £25. As can also sort out tax & insurance a lot easier.

I LOVE those wheels. wish I could afford a set :(
are they 18"?

Mines not a black edition but with black optic pack, not sure if they are actually black editions? The black optic pack is basically front grill, window surrounds and roof rails.

Did you pick up the car way318?

Right, it took some time but car now paid for and collection day now planned for this Wednesday, decided to take full day off work so can collect mid morning and then take a leisurely drive home :thumbs up:.

Car insurance actually came down even with swapping from a 2005 plate car to a 2011 plate, just sorting the tax out now.

Will aim to take some pics tomorrow and post, but will depend on weather as I think it planned to rain Wednesday.

Sounds good, mines a little higher at 61k but still FASH 1 owner.
Looked at one and they wanted same price with 120k dodgy service history.

I also looked at quite a few but this one had excellent history and when checking up on it everything was correct with the paperwork. Before I bought it I got the name of the dealerships who serviced it and rang them to get a copy if the service invoices and also asked them about advisories, outstanding recalls and software updates. I also got the MOT history off the Gov.uk web site. I could also tell that it had been well looked after.
