Hi All. Factory bluetooth fitted, worked fine with my old 192 RNS-E

New 193 RNS-E has arrived and I installed the other day. Working fine (Had to recode in VCDS as everything was german!)

Now my iPhone connects fine to the system but when I hit the speech button on the steering wheel, it doesn't pick up my voice.

Is there any extra coding / setting up required as i have a different NAV unit installed?

Making calls is fine and the mic pics up my voice. But when I hit the speech control button on the right side of the steering wheel to give instructions... the woman doesn't pick me up when I say 'redial' 'call' etc etc...

Hi Mark, it worked with my previous RNS-E so nothings changed, I've just plugged the cars harness in to the new one

I havent routed the mic wiring to the SDS yet but should work at present with just the bluetooth

Yes, it's a 193 H

This is about the bluetooth though, not SDS for nav, radio etc

If SDS worked before then its probably a coding issue. Presumably you have to tell the car that an RNSE 193 is now installed as opposed to a 192. As you had a problem with the unit being in German I wonder if the voice activation language is still set to German. Have you tried giving the instructions in German to see if that works? A long shot I know but it rules out the obvious first. If is does recognise German then it simply a coding issue. :)

Presumably there are no errors logged on VCDS?
