Problem Wrong (old) email address associated with account

Returning user (after a long time) and my account has an old hotmail address associated that is now defunct. Tried changing it in my profile to my current email account but it says that the email address is already in use. It is entirely possible that I registered another account at some point with the new email address, but lord only knows what details/username I picked. Can a mod delete the new account so that I can associate my current email address with this one?

this username is the correct one but has the wrong email address. no idea what the new username is that has the correct email address associated. i can pm you the correct email address if that helps so you could search and delete that account.
