I thought you can lock car from all for doors? But mine only doing it from the front 2 doors.

That makes sense as you isn't want rear passengers in control of lock/unlock

Nope, only the front doors. It's hardly far to reach if you are already standing by a back door though!

Is it just me or are the first two posts in another language?

Lately to lock it, it isn't listening to me. I stand there for like 20 seconds waving, pressing. Given up now and lock as I would normally (press the lock button!), opening is easy though.

I find sometimes if I'm facing with the 'key pocket' furthest from the car it sometimes doesn't listen! But you just walk away and press the key's lock button at that point. Never had it not unlock though.

Only the front external handles will lock/unlock the car from outside with advanced key, the rear ones don't. On all my Ford's all the handles would lock/unlock...

Shhh. Don't mention F word, the pitchforks will come out again ;)

Just I saw audi advanced key video on youtube they showed you could lock it from all doors thats what confused me

Only front doors and tailgate on SB. Audi docs and website misleading. My S4 did all doors and that's what I expected on the S3!

I find it doesn't work very well if keys in same pocket as my phone

I like it but I always have 2 check my pockets if ive got the key. With normal keys u always pulling it in and out your pockets so you know its there. Overall I think its cool thats about it.

No its not just you :disgust:

As for the advanced key locking I initially struggled with the S3 despite having had a similar system on the CRV. Because the CRV has a button to press I found that I was steadying my hand on the handle to better align with the button. The same technique on the S3, which has a sensor in place of the button, confuses the advanced key locking so I now have to remember to 'sweep', not 'steady'. That said, sometimes it refuses to lock immediately and I have to resort to the button on the fob.

I just stroke the inside of the handle, easy peasy and less clunky than the button on our fiesta. As for it not working when the keys are in your pocket with a phone, I assume that the majority would understand the phone signal would interfere with the remote. Its not like it doesn't say so in the manual...
