Anyone know how to activate running US blinkers so the indicators our always on when headlights are on??

You cannot just activate US blinkers, US systems have a double filament (indicator/sidelight ), i used to import many US vehicles and we did our own light conversions, believe me its not as easy you think.

There is a setting in vagcom for it , you basically change lighting code, its simple enough but what the effect will be i dont know.I suspect vagcom will just switch sidelights and indicators together and then flash indicators when you move the stalk , becareful though as this mod will without doubt affect your insurance and im not sure it isn't against the Euro lighting regs, i know we had to spend a lot of money on specially made lighting ECUs to get US cars to conform with lighting regs.

I have got a module i brought for us blinkers for my old car but wasnt sure if could activate us blinkers on vagcom or would this module do the job

You can change the country settings, im not sure how changing it to USA will work, as i said American cars have 2 bulbs in the indicator unit or they have a double filament bulb, 1 filament for light 1 for indicator. What you have to make sure is that the indicator flash's and when it does there must be no other orange light in the unit, in other words the indicator must flash and the sidelight must go out till the indicator is cancelled.
