Wow, they are awesome pics. The griffon is big for 3 days old. The baby eagle is just so cute. Thanks for sharing Admin:) x

Hi @Sandra , it was taken near Machynlleth west Wales.

So many little branches around, I needed to turn the auto focus off.
He was happy to pose!

That's him , such a dull looking moth , lol.

The bright colours worked well and prevented me from walking on him .

Here is a great shot of a NZ Kea I took 7 months ago:

NZ South Island Kea by jasonclarkphotography, on Flickr

"Cheeky Kea"
Kea are an Endagered Bird, unique to the South Island Of New Zealand, there are fewer than 5000 remaining in the wild, They are worlds only Mountain Parrot, They are Highly Intelligent, Inquisitive and friendly. They are known for getting into mischief, they will certainly try and sneak into anything left open, backpacks, tents, car doors and car boots. they are known for chewing on car windscreen wiper blade rubbers, window & door seal rubbers

Thanks Ghost This is one of my favourite wild birds we have here in NZ the 'Pukeko'
I live a little out in the country, so I see these a fair bit on the side of the road now and then on the way to work
they usually hang around a water source or have larger colonies in wetland areas.
They are quite shy and very hard to get close enough without being spooked
This is one of those shots the second I took it i knew it was gunna come out great

Someone got bored this morning. I'm very lucky to be helping to bring up a Condor. Amazing to think she will be one of the biggest birds in the world. You never know she might get one of the shows this year :)

Last two images for today.. I'm sure I'll be able to add more over the next few months and yes even her first flight. If there would be any interest in seeing this bird or any of the 250-300 we have at the centre let me know. I'm sure I could arrange something.

That's Fantastic Adam. She has got so big in the last few weeks. Maybe when her wings are a bit bigger you can put one on each, lol. Look forward to next pic. :) x

She weighs just under 2Kgs at the moment. She will weigh around 16Kgs and have a wing span of around 11feet so she has a little way to go yet....
