New 2015 RS3!!!

They did the same with the S3 when that came out 2 years ago.

Audi City in London had the car for a few days and then it went round the Country to some UK dealerships staying at each one for 2 or 3 days.

Spoke to audi today and have been told rs3 saloon should be arriving in December this year. That's thrown a spanner in the works!
Hope it looks something like this :jump:

My fingers are crossed... Come on Audi!!! Can we not start some kind of petition or something?

Spec emailed to dealership yesterday in prep for them pressing the order button as soon as they are able to Audi next week;

Must have spec-
RS3 Sportback
Nardo Grey (assuming not a 2k exclusive colour, if not Suzuka Grey or Glacier White)
Sports Exhaust
Gloss Black Styling Kit
Gloss Black Alloys (I am guessing these will be rotors but would love the V Spokes on the RS4 if available)
Black roof rails
Super Sports Seats
Led Interior kit
Privacy Glass
Hill Hold Assist
Options that are potentially standard features on final spec but want to spec if not-
Folding mirrors (standard on RSQ3 I think)
Sat Nav (Was standard on last RS3)
Audi 10 speaker Sound System (Standard on RSQ3 I think)
High Beam Assist (LED headlights already confirmed as standard and not sure if these include HBA)
Comfort Pack with parking Plus
Options nice to have but not if pushes price up too high.
Red calipers
Interior red package

Have you heard which day next week the RS 3 is open for order yet?

Not yet, I have paid £1k deposit with my local dealership and he is just pressing refresh on their ordering system and will process as soon as he is able to. It will be one day next week apparently.

What discount has he offered you and will you be part exchanging your current car if so have you pre-agreed price ?

off topic sorry but has anyone given this any thought?

Those rear arches!

No discount snake, and very unlikely to get any discount on RS3 on release. Not fussed either as just want the motor, been waiting for it to come out for about 18 months now and I have not considered anything else, Mrs wants a 5 door hatch and I want something rapid and loud with 4 rings on the front grill, both boxes tickef. Dealer is on instructions to keep the price to 45k. No trade in just putting down 8k deposit. Probably looking at around £500 per month over 48 months at 12,000 miles p/a.

That's fair enough and agree - any kind of discount on the RS3 initially is going to be minimal.
No part-ex to factor in is good too.
I want to have a test drive first although I thoroughly expect the car to meet expectations.
Hopefully this will be May or June latest, then will see what figures my Dealer can offer against my S5. Will be my 4th Audi with the same Dealer in 7 years so I expect the numbers will stack up and we always end up agreeing on figures after some discussion.
Placing your order so soon, you should have one the first RS3's in the Country :icon thumright:

That's the plan Snake. I have even asked if I can go to Germany to collect it, but apparently this is for R8's only. I have said to the dealer that he will be my hero if he can get it to me for the annual pilgrimage to Le Mans in mid June. Also my car will be on the RS tribute stand at Audis in the Park in August, so there are reasons why it has to arrive.

Sounds good .......... roll on next week and at least we will be able to see pictures of the Geneva car/s and then hopefully shots of the car at Audi City in London.
First hand feedback from the Guys seeing the car at Audi City will be great to hear to.
Quite excited about this car myself.

Think you'll be either very special or extremely lucky to have a Car in June I was informed Launch/Press Cars arriving June Customer Cars Expected Beginning of July Off to spec mine early next week had a £500 ROI Deposit since September which hopefully puts me first on the Dealer's Customer supply list

It will probably be possible to watch the unveiling here: https://audimedia.tv/en

This Audi website streamed the launch of the new TTS when that happened. The next event is scheduled for 15th March 10:00 CET; the Geneva coverage starts at 10:50 CET.

Is anyone thinking of actually buying one? :uhm:

Why buy all of it when you only have to pay the depreciation?

I know a guy with £1m in his current account, but he still PCP/Leases his cars.
If it appreciates, buy it - if it depreciates, lease it!

bang on Jose, although I don't have a million quid in my current account, I could cover the RS3 outright. However, I get a monthly car allowance from my employer and have to have a vehicle no older than 5 years. Hence, I might as well just keep getting motors on 3/4 year PCP's and let my employer pay the monthly payments. All I am stumping up is the deposit.

The paperwork we saw a couple of weeks ago mentions that the RS3 comes as standard with:

"Audi Parking System Plus"

Does this relate to front and rear park sensors with in car screen display ?

the Parking system plus in the S3 is front and rear sensors with graphical distance display on the screen. So I am assuming this is the same. The gumph releases the other week also mentioned auto lights and auto wipers so the only thing missing from the "comfort" pack is cruise control. Did the previous RS3 have cruise?

Ah right thanks so my interpretation was correct.
Good - the park sensors are useful to have but I begrudge paying for them.

Interior LED lights sound like they are needed though (if not standard) to avoid the dull yellow light gloom otherwise.
Have LED footwell lights in the S5 and other cabin lights standard so you can see the difference.
All the interior lights should be LED as standard (same an mono pur) so will have to tick this box if they are not standard.

Oh yeah cruise too ......... small things like these really should be standard fit on an RS model but oh well.
A couple of other little things are standard though I guess like LED head lights, park sensors, light and rain sensors, alcantara / leather wheel, so it all balances to a degree.
Overall I am happy with the base spec Audi are providing on the RS3.

LOL he must be a finaciial genius all that money in a current account not earning high interest .

He has a lot more in useful assets elsewhere. Not sure why he keeps so much in a current account though, can't imagine he ever needs to spend that much on a whim!!

Although he does like high stakes poker, so you never know... Might be to fund a big game of Texas no limit hold'em occasionally.

Does he actually own the "useful assets" or just pay the monthly instalments just like his car.:jump:

He owns assets that appreciate/make money (see my original post on the matter).
We're getting off topic tho!

I'll be buying mine. I don't want to get into the 4 year dealer gravy train cycle and worrying about mileage, etc.
I want to own it, not borrow it.
Maybe I'm old fashioned.

Cruise was an option on the 8P.

My 8P RS3 BLUEY has cruise-control and since purchase in September 2011 I've used cruise-control once (in 2011) and only then to make sure it worked and it did, then... :racer:

Unfortunately our roads are too busy these days to make much use of cruise. I'll be spec'ing adaptive on the next car I buy as it is desirable on long journeys IMO.

+1 having had ACC on my SQ5, and now not on the S1 or the vRS it's a must for me next time. Miss it big time.

Everybody is different...

Some will want to buy it outright because they have the cash / px

Others will finance / pcp etc

I don't see a problem, customer of mine PCP's his car, his reason is he doesn't has his money tied up in a depreciating asset and he can change after 3/4 years for a different new car.

booked up for Geneva so will try and get some pics of RS3 if someone doesn't post them before. Will also grab Stephen Reil by the ear and ask him about the RS3 saloon :jump:

Loads of pics appreciated !

& first hand feedback on as much as possible ... Styling tweaks, seats, driving position, interior etc etc

Seconded Billy, make sure you absolutely blitz the RS3 pics! I would definitely have been in Geneva but unfortunately I am out in Delhi this week and Cannes next week. Tough life but would still rather being going to drool over the RS3
