Hi ,
I've sold my beloved A4 B7 2.0 TFSI S Line SE and just purchased a TT mk2 2.0 TFSI. 2008 in silver with 50k on the clock. New cambelt and water pump being fitted , FASH , nav plus , 18" turbines , zenon plus lights , magnetic ride , reversing sensors , Bose speakers , full electric heated seats and she is stunning. Can't wait to pick her up . Just need advice on anything to look out for and the best mods , if any , to do first.
My first thoughts are a TTS fixed spoiler , and perhaps the exhaust. Loads available but don't want a loud boy. Many thanks.
Karl.

Hi Karl, sounds like a really nice tt you have got there. Will look forward to some pics when you get it back. :) x

Hi Sandra , never really appreciated the TT , but after driving a few I was convinced. Probably the start of a mid life crisis. Will get some pics on line after I collect it.
Cheers. Karl.

Ok , so I've had the TT for two weeks now. Although it was clean I decided to give it a top to bottom detailing session. Polished then waxed the exterior ( autoglym life shine ) including the alloys. Cleaned the leather and steam cleaned all the carpets and glass. I've ordered some Audi sport number plate surrounds and custom plates. The zenon lights are excellent but have upgraded the fog light bulbs to 100 w super white units. So far so good. However, the zenon lights work perfectly but the bulbs directly next to them don't appear to work. Not sure if I'm being dim ( excuse the pun ) but are they just for show or is there a fault ?

Does it have a DRl switch? If so these are on all the time you don't have your main beam on, when you switch these on the DRL bulbs go out. The DRL lights are the lies in the actual cluster, your sidelights e the lights in the bottom row of the headlight.

Did you go for a coupe or roadster?

Here is my 07 V6 to perhaps give you some ideas?

Hi , thanks for the reply , sorry I've taken a while getting back to you. Your roadster looks stunning , I've got the coupe but the same colour. Will post some pics tomorrow. . The issue is the lights in the cluster closest to the grill do not come on at all , the side lights and the zenon lights work perfectly. Tried every which way but they don't come on. No bulb fault registers and I know this works as I had to replace a rear bulb. I will post a pic of the light cluster , I really hope I'm not being a dumbass.

Have you got the DRL light switched on?

Hi Chazd ,
Right , progress made, I have seen the light. Well I've seen them come on at last but don't know how. All the lights were off except the lights that I couldn't get to work. And what does DRL stand for and how do you control them ? , can't seem to upload images from my iPad!

Ok ,
I've now seen the lights work , so if the DRL switch is on , the lights stay on but as soon as the main lights are switched on the DRL lights go off.

Success with the iPad at last! . I've also just discovered that I can remove an insert from the iPod connecter so my old 80gb Classic pops in. Happy days indeed.

These are the new number players and surrounds , fronts the same , all for £28. Bargain

Correct! They will run all the time you don't have side or main lights on.

TT looks very clean, not sure on the wee sticker on the back though. Perhaps need more red touches to blend it in?

Got the lights sorted now. Just ordered a OEM set of stainless tail pipe tips , the full system will have to wait for now. The DRL lights look pretty yellow , considering upgrading to super bright white as I have the fog light bulbs. The grill surrounds were a ****** to get off , had to put on the wife's pink marigolds for a bit of grip, take your point on the audi grapic on the rear. I've got the same graphic but in bigger size for the sides , just in front of the rear arch. Not sure yet. The break callipers have been enamel coated in grey , which actually looks quite smart but considering red with audi graphics.

OEM tailpipes should make a difference. I had a system for a TFSI not long ago...your too late! Was a lovely dual exit milltek.

The DRL replacement need either canbus friendly LED or some xenon style bulbs. I have just replaced the sidelights to LED and use these for day time driving...they are at the bottom of the lights and with the LEd look like a running light strip, so the DRL is now defunct!

Red callipers would help the badges blend in IMO but your car at the end of the day.
