Afternoon gentlemen I'm sure his has been asked 669 times so far but as I'm parting with 600 pound ish I would like to hear everyone's opinions and reviews if they have these kits on their a3 8l's On awesom gti I'm debating between either st suspension 40/40 drop or bilstein b12 and eibach 40/30. I'm guessing these spring and shock combo are better than ap adjustable coilovers as if the option to go lower isn't their I can't try it out haha :) thanks Ben,

you can get AP's for sub £400 and will be more flexible than a fixed drop, that would be my choice - or keep your eyes peeled for a 2nd hand set of KW's

Yeah I was swayed to the AP's to start with but I would keep adjusting the height, as long as dampening is good and soaks the bumps rather than hops on them I'm happy, I've been after the kws but can't justify the cash side for them

Image Or these are rated really good with camber plates so would save me extra cash 30 or 36 way adjustable most of the American boys use them

once you've got the height dialled you won't have to touch it unless you swap wheels etc. Personally id get something popular over here incase you need spares etc as you could find someone selling singular coils etc if you ever need to replace bits. I missed a set of V1's the other week that were listed for a 4motion golf low miles, clean threads etc (same coils for 8L) that went for £180 as they were poorly listed.

Mine came with Eibach springs but annoyingly they're not quite low enough on the front and id like it to rake a little more so i think some coils are in the pipeline, but not a priority as its kinda low, but just not as id personally set it up - thats the issue with a fixed drop in my opinion.

If budget allows then me personally I'd go for the B12 kit, a lot will depend what you want from the kit.

Basically road use but my area has a fair few round about sand rubbish roads so will need to be forgiving but I also will be doing odd track days, been looking at pay 4 later option monthly instalments would allow me to do kw v2s if they are the best I can get for her :D ?

Having run Bilstein B8's and Eibach springs for the past 70,000 miles I can wholeheartedly recommend them, great Improvement over stock with no decrease in comfort, high quality kit and DPM Performance who supplied them are more than helpful.

Highly recommended choice
