Hi all - ordered the Audi LED lights 4H0943021/4H0943022 plus the Kufatec resistor loom. However, tried without loom first - thinking they would work but DIS would error - but didn't come on at all? Put standard ones back and they illuminated fine.

Anyone have similar on a B7? Am I being stupid? (Entirely possible).

do you know that the led's will only work one way round mate, they not like a bulb that will work either way round. if the led bulb is the correct way round and no resistor is installed they will light up but the error message will be on the dash and a nice annoying beep will accompany it

Cheers fella. These are handed so even I can't get left and right muddled :)

Tried with the resistor?
I would guess it's because the resistor isn't fitted, the car see's minimal load so assumes there's an issue so kills the power to them.

I hadn't yet as everything I'd read suggested that it just suppressed the bulb out errors. Also getting into the tailgate panel to fit the cable was bit off-putting especially if it was going to be a waste of time. But I would guess a weekend of faff is on the cards :)

just got mine from Trups and yes they do need the canceller loom fitted to work

Mine are giving me grief atm ,both bulbs blew, standard ones, fitted new bulbs and only one would light up,the main light panel that the lights screw into around the contacts looks overheated and melted, anyone had to buy one of these and if so how much.cheers Andy.
