what's the best h7 bulbs money can buy ( not hid please)

No, even if they did I wouldn't buy them from there as they are likely to twice the price

I've just put night breakers in last week and totally recommend them

I fitted Bosch Pure Light H7s about 4 years ago, one of them has popped today, not bad for a bulb !

Now I have to decide what to fit next :) Some people say Osram Nightbreakers are good bit life can be a bit iffy.

Thats in reference to the previous Plus version, the new Unlimited is improved in this area.

Today's top tip ... Don't drop the spring clip that holds the bulb in the assembly down your engine bay like I did earlier this evening :) on the plus side my dipped bulbs are now replaced :)

I'll be keeping an eye on this thread to see what gets the most recommendations, had one blow a couple of weeks ago and only had one spare at the time so need to replace both so they match again.

I would like to find an LED H7 with a decent light output, I tried LED H11's in my fogs for about 2 1/2 minuite as they were complete ****

Yes Ive heard mixed opinions. Funnily enough my dipped front left beam is out so have ordered a set of CREE 6000k LED H7's for £18 delivered. Will test and let you guys know..

Yes , those particular CREE ballast ones are £55 delivered.

So a lil update...As MattyBoyC said...The H7 LED's i got on the cheap are terrible in terms of light output! I bought them purely to test.

If people are going the LED route, get the 55w Cree ones above with ballasts.

You bet! already have 6k HID sitting on my desk waiting to be installed. £20 delivered! TOP QUALITY ;)

I wonder if the ones with ballasts at £55 would work well as full beams. Mmmmmm

Yeah that's a point! not sure as full beams. But certainly as dipped. What do people use for aftermarket full beams ? Whats the trend ?

I have S4 headlights so have factory xenons as dipped and tower leds as my sidelights, I'm going to order some H11's from T8uos for my fogs as they come highly recommend but am stumped for my mains, I currently use some cheap 100w things as I work nights and tend to use lots of unlit roads so would like something nice and bright, not over botherd on colour as no one else should see them.

The seller of the 55w H7 LED isn't on here but is a trusted seller on another VAG forum .

Cant beat OEM xenons! A better choice to be honest. I want to do the same with my fogs so hopefully T8uos will prove worth while.
Ha, yeah that shouldn't matter too much. No one will pull you over to say, 'Excuse me mate..your dipped beams don't match your mains!''

How comes you didnt go for OEM bi-xenons?

Sorry that should read T8ups on here as EM TUNNING.
As for going the Bi-xenon route at the time of doing this mod I was only looking for headlights with the dark innards, I had a set with the "Joey" mod done but wanted a more OEM look.
Don't quote me but from memory I think the Bi-xenons require totally different wiring with the possible additions of adapters but the standard Xenon only needed a slight wiring mod in the headlight to be able to use my standard plug, I also fitted my manual levellers so at least I can adjust my beam height should I have a couple of elephants in the boot!!

Cheers for that. I seem to have found them from a chap on here..

They look really good!

Yeah, what you mention is understandable, the bi-xenon route looks a lot more fiddly but probably worth doing it once and for all.
Im slightly torn as I like both OEM and custom looks, depends on what though. Dark innards definitely!

Haha, just imagining your cars nose pointing at the sky after the elephants in the back!

@GazWould.Are there any links to those H7 led kit you posted up please?
