And this was the condition of what i took off. Pads were stuck and uneven braking

The overall feel is so much better apart from pedal does feel a little soft so may need to bleed them and also notice a little leak around brake filler cap so may and looking at colour of fluid i think its way past it change due date.... so trip to the dealers to get them to do it

Looking good. Those mtec discs ?
Pics of them fitted please :)

yes they are mtec, I have them on my 2.8 quattro sport and never had issues so thought I'd fit them on the a3 as well. I got hold of some caliper carriers so upgraded to 312mm at the front.
here a pic of the fronts fitted so not great pic but it was raining lol

Those are some worn out discs, I've seen worse though! What's more amazing is that some people don't even notice the braking doesn't seem right :keule:

I kept telling the garage that they didn't feel right but they reckoned they were ok, and weren't covered by the warranty anyway..... the ****** pads were stuck in the carriers

I think I'll be taking them down and dropping on their desk to prove a point lol.

least it gave me chance to put bigger discs on and make sure they were fitted properly and the soft pedal has gone and no more leaking at the cap

I have a pair waiting to go on. Notice any additional noises braking with them ?
