Currently my car is on coil overs and I'm not a big fan.
Have to keep adjusting them and they make a weird squeaking noise :suspicion:.

I'd would rather switch to springs. I'd like to stay lowish but not this low.
What would you guy recommend? maybe the h&r 50mm? I'm running 19's aswell.

Why do you have to keep adjusting them? Buy better coilovers, job done.

As above.

But also would be useful to know which you're currently running, and exactly what the problem is with respect to having to adjust them constantly.

I never had problems with the kW v3s I originally ran,or the Clubsport system i have now.....no squeaks rattles or other problems, but adjusting the setup comes down to what you need from the system, and what the coilovers you have can offer.

For instance some will offer high and low speed adjustments for bump and rebound, plus height etc, whereas most will not,and may limit you to a range of very simple damping adjustments.

i changed from v-maxx to H&R 50mm spring and its been the best thing i did. couldn't hack the awful ride on the coilovers. maybe they are just a stiff setup. i think H&R and bilstein shocks are the one, a lot of people on here are on the same set up.

Try and drive a car with Eibach Sportline springs and Bilstein B8 dampers.

I can only say that either the ones you had were a poor example,or incorrectly set up.

There's no way a decent, well set up coilover suspension should give a poor ride quality.

I have fk ultra low coilovers and the ride is very hard and harsh, I drove my friends s3 with ap coilovers and they were a lot smoother, I also drove my other friends Gti on springs and the ride on that was so comfortable.

OK...I think I see the answer here.

You're using one of the very cheapest possible coilover sets for a car of this type.

I think it's expecting a lot to get decent ride quality from that combination plus 19" rims which will also add to the problem.

What would you recommend bro for me to do, What coilovers should I get that are not stupidly expensive but give a decent ride.

I think a PM to Damian at DPM would get you on the right track, plus some good prices.

The only problem with better coilovers such as AP's/KW's etc, is that they won't go as low as your FK's.

Something like the ST by KW kit or at the higher end of your budget the KW V1 kit would both be very good options.

What deal could you do in the kW v1 kit?
