Hi all i have had a badger 5 tip a while now but not fitted its the one with the metal billet . Is it safe to use on a stock non remapped car? Whats the ups and down on this. But yes later will be remapping it once i have done everything i want for a stage 2 map

I fitted my v3 b5 tip on my s3 when it was 210 and was fine, did couple thousand miles with no problem bar my Maf sensor failing. Although I did also have cone filter so maybe the combination of the two was too much airflow for my old tired Maf.

Thanks for reply i do have the jetex filter installed but didnt install the tip as inwas thinking al install just before a remap.

Also does it make any difftence perfomance wise without a map. I only paid 80 pounds for b5 tip jetex filter and heatshield from ebay :)

Should return better throttle response and better flow at the top of the Rev range, make sure your maff is clean though.

Right ok thanks al have a go on saturday hope its not hard to take off as i did have a look underneath of car turbo did look quiet far and hard to reach to remove stock tip

Well just been out with the liquid gauge and its a positive result :)

Stock map: S3 225

Before:- 232 bhp and 200 lbft torque

With B5 tip:- 240 bhp and 209lbft torque

Well impressed !

No problems either running the tip on standard map, that was tip only.
