I have 2 tone heated special edition b7 seats in my b7... All these seats I've seen online (looking to see what I've got here value wise as it came with the car) they all have the heated seat function in them but my car doesn't have the control panel for heated seats... how do I find out if mine actually have the elements and wiring for heated as I don't think these are the standard seats and an upgrade from the previous one... The thought of heatedleather seats makes me weak at the knees... haha

to work you need to have the control switches and loom at the bottom of the centre console just above the ashtray, without those parts they wont work, they may well be heated seats but you have no means of controlling them at present so unless you obtain the rest of the parts needed its all a bit up in the air with them.

Someone on here said if I don't have the wiring loom he can retrofit one. Before I go any further I there a way I can confirm they are heated seats is there anyway I can see or feel for an element without removing the seat etc..

Look under your seats at wiring plugs. Fingers crossed you will see a green plug. If so you have heated seats!!!! (You will need to lift the black cover the that hides the plugs)

I see 2 plugs plugged into the ground. Where will the green one be?

I'm interested in this also and need to go check my seats as have same as OP.
Be interested to see a pic of plug location and costs to retrofit if the seats are indeed fitted with heated elements.

Interesting - did the ALL of the leather S line seats have the heater element/pads installed? Would imagine not, but I could certainly see the point when, for instance, there was a trackside shortage that Audi (or whom ever the seat manufacturer are) would say "stick sets of those in....."
...............or am I still living in the '70s motor manufacturer world - now where did I put my '70s disco compilation 8-Track ????? ;)

8 track, not heard that word for some time mate, showing your age now ;), i have some very early 8-track stuff by chris squires ( and if you remember 8-track you'll know what he went onto).

I think the heated seats was an option to be honest, on the description on my, it is listed as optional extra fitted ontop of special edition spec.

Only 2 plugs then no heated seats. You need 3 plugs, green being heated seats

I can only see 1 black plug towards the back of the seat but unsure if I'm looking in the right place.

You need to lift up the plastic cover on the floor under your seat (move your seat all the way to the back to make it easier) then you will see the plastic plugs. No green, no bum warmer

If you are missing the green I wouldn't get too depressed, I've got them on mine and they take ages to heat up. They are best used on high setting for winding up your passenger on a hot day

Heated seats come in very handy - cold leather is not very welcoming in Winter. Also, being a Cab owner, they help keep you snug if you want to drop the roof on crisp sunny days......nice :icon thumright:
