SAT NAV and S3 Mirrors stolen

Last week my Monday my SAT Nav Got stolen and now this week Monday my Mirrors from my sportback all done done outside my work place.
Some people are low life scum, Monday Giro Grafting day wtf ...

Gutted and a big bill for me
 
Sorry to hear that mate, if insurance isn't an option, give me a shout as I could definitely save you against audi's prices.
 
From Bradford, working At Morrisons HQ Gain Lane
Never had any issues in Bradford until I started working in Gain Lane Area.. what a **** hole
 
Sickening really is when someone does this, I remember years ago my old mk3 gti, pride & joy, broken into the same/next day I fitted a motorised front sony head unit, the guy who tried to steal it was a friend from school & he found out from one of my engineers who was a socalled best friend, that I had fitted it, friends huh!!!!!

I ran after him, recognised his style of running & height, he dumped the unit, but it was ********.
 
Main thing is i got my SAT NAV back.. The next day..
It was on Gumtree
Now Mirrors have gone... must have been the scum going around here
6 cars were broken into yesterday ...

I knew you were gonna say Bradford, rife around West Yorkshire, unlucky. I'm paranoid leaving my A3 anywhere.
 
I'm from West Yorkshire too and spend lots of time in/around Bradford, both through my business and socially.

I will keep my ear to the ground, what colour/spec were the mirrors?

And sorry to hear this. It is such an epidemic around our area honestly. Every little to$$er, 18 year old kids, has got an A3 now and all are wanting S3 kit, RNS-E, mirrors etc...where there is demand there will always be people willing to supply it!

I know how sick you feel, my Audison Bit One controller was stolen last year.

I must say that many of our Eastern European friends seem to be offering supply and fit RNS-E for very very little money...makes you wonder how they can afford to do it.
 
If you'reform Bradford you may have seen Mine, Proud owner of the Purple Blue Audi A3, full S3 conversion. I had the Rs3/S3 mirrors
 
Is it the one with the private plate? If so, it's one of the best s3 conversions I've seen, I'm from Bradford myself. Have you tried ringing VRVWS?

Think I've seen it bro. I'm from Dewsbury. Just read on Facebook 14 plate GTD was stolen last night around 6:40pm

I know a copper who works in the areas of Yorkshire, he told me of a group of polish guys caught with a stack load of rns-e's sometime last year, think a gy over towards Manc was involved aswell.

What makes it hard for genuine suppliers is how can you compete with an ebay seller offering a unit installed for very little, obviously they're nicked as there is no way you can buy genuinely supplied units, sell on ebay for 14% fee charge, install & make a profit unless you obtained it via deceitful means.

NHN - you're right, it take takes them 10 secs to swipe the device. plus the alarm system in the audi is crap
 
Just seen the pic, thats mine defo, thats the spot where my SAT NAV went missing
luck i got it back.. just placed an order at TPS for new mirrors
 
I have a set of new electric folding bases for 5dr we had for a client, I know audi charge £175 a side or close, let me know if you want to deal :)
 
Just bought some bases for mine £145 for both.. already have the mirror glass and cover case
( standard ), much appreciated for your support NHN
 
Oh are yours not electric folding then, as that's about 60% discount of which TPS wouldn't do as the most they can offer is 30% or so on non electronic items & only ones that are that cheap are the non folding ones that are about £75-£80 each mate.
 
Car looks very familiar, I'm sure I've seen it around bradford! I always tend to throw over a jacket or something on the dash to try hide the RNS. I know it won't stop anyone nicking it but hopefully if they cant see it they won't try grab it!
 
Soon it will be on spotted Bradford page.. I will come across someone selling the mirrors
 
They will probably already be on eBay or gumtree. You tried bradford selling pages on Facebook?

Looks a beauty mate, pic was taken around Xmas time as I was trying to convince the girlfriend to let me get roof rails! Haha

On a related note, have people bothered to mark their kit with black light markers or something similar like smart water? I guess it makes it much easier to prove that an item is stolen.

My whole car is done with black light markers.. even my stereo
The pic you hav etaken was a few weeks ago.. I started in Jan at Gain lane
 
Smashed the window, well bent the window frame
They had keys to remove the SAT NAV.. a clean job but hey I got my nav back...

I know the alarm on the A3 is ***** but didn't it go off no?

It was adviertised on Gumtree on the same day, did my investigation and got the seller to come to me..
Seller informs he purchased it..well it belongs to be, thank you

Got my new base arms arrived today, hopefully on the weekend its getting a make over

Hope you gave him a slap for the sat nav.

I bought my car in Bradford, the stealer had the mirror covers painted black as there were a few scrotes sniffing around the car on several occasions.

I was followed by a couple of shady looking Asian types on my way home with it and was ready to pull over and give them both a severe doing.

I feel sorry for anyone who lives there as the place is a sh1t hole. Even my work colleague who is originally from Bradford says the same
 
I really hate Bradford too, and more recently Halifax, even though I grew up there.

Parked my Edition 30 Mk5 Golf GTI in a brand new car park in Halifax. Well lit and supposedly CCTV equipped car park and some scrote tried to steal the Nav out of it! I can only presume someone disturbed him as it was hanging out of the dash at the time and he'd already got one other cars VW Nav out.

So fortunately just a smashed window but I feel for you dude! One of the main reasons I didn't go for Satnav in my S3, don't want someone to try take it! Just use my phone for Nav instead.
