Hi,
Picked up my A4 today. I put another battery on it and drove it home 3 miles. I had the battery light on the dash but this is due to the alternator that has failed.
I had no wipers and no fans/heating or rear defrost working. I'm assuming this is linked into the fact the alternator isn't charging.
My mate who I bought the car from says everything works but he said the heater panel never illuminated. The buttons do when the lights are turned on but the is no display illuminated.
Easy fix? Is it just a bulb? Are these easy to remove? I've only had a quick look at the dash but couldn't see anything obvious.
