In reality what mpg are people getting ? what mpg does the car recon its doing at 80mph on a private road cough motorway? thinking about buying one if anyone can help pros/cons?

Think you've hit the nail on the head with economy being the main issue, not a bad car by any means but allot of people go the S4 route which isn't much worse on fuel.

I usually get 30 mpg on a long run at a consistent (and legal) 130 kph (80.7mph) on French motorways, slightly better at 70mph. Not convinced an S4 will do the same! Around town is not good mind, more like 20mpg.

Never took any notice' only thing I know is put £30 in get 124 miles around the doors with a damaged pre cat, yesterday removed both pre and both main cats and going for a fresh map so I'll comment again next week

Thanks for reply's , I currently get around 33mpg on long run out of a 1.8tquattro so mpg is not bother ive gone as low 18mpg round town.
