It's not a major issue but it's starting to annoy me!

The drivers' seatbelt doesn't recoil properly when I take it off. Is there anything I can do about it apart from get a new seatbelt?

I have heard of people using Mr Sheen on the Belt and then working it back and forth. Never tried it personally!

I've got this issue. Like you say it's not drastic but annoying!

I have this problem! Passenger front, where do you spray the mr sheen on the recoiling part or the actual belt?

Same problem here too, it's like the return spring is getting tired, I've put a few more turns on the spring before on other seatbelts at work but there not Audi's so not sure if it can be done, never heard of the Mr Sheen trick.

On the belt, just done mine, definite improvement!

Not seen that method before, appears to work aswell

Probably too late to do it today, as it won't dry quickly enough, but definitely a job for next Saturday.

yep, self same problem with mine, really slow retraction, looks like a great solution, will try it today.
thanks for the link.

Not heard the washing tip before, if it works as well as the vid suggests, be good to hear.....

Could just do with the " 12 hrs sunshine" to dry the belt off - might be lucky and have a dry belt by end of Feb

Yeah, that is my concern. I've squeezed the excess water out of them, dried them with a towel, sprayed them with Pledge (same thing as Mr Sheen) and left them to dry overnight. Only thing is, it's a very cold night ahead, and I need to be driving it before 6am.

Not crispy at all, but clean, dry, and restracting freely, good as new! :thumbs up:

This washing and polishing seat belts lark really does work.

Looks like the way forward, Tempted to do mine now as I don't need the car for a couple of days.

All done and working like new, soaked in boiling water / washing powder for 2 hrs, changer water (boiling again) to pull any excess soap out of the belt for 1/2 hr, dried off with towel and left over night, didn't use pledge / Mr Sheen at all.
I also cleaned aperture that seatbelt retracts into as that was filthy too and could cause drag.
