I've just taken delivery of a new A3 cabrio snd didn't want to pay the rip off from the dealer for Gardex treatment, preferring to wax the car myself. However I'm concerned about the fabric hood. Does it come already proofed from the factory or will it need proofing for winter? I'm not confident to do it myself on a car fresh out of the wrapper so a good detailer in the East Yorkshire area who anyone can recooend would be appreciated. I live near to Hull but can travel.

Evening, The vehicle will come with the roof proofed from the factory but it never seems to last that long. Should last 6 -12 months though if washed correctly :)

Happy New Year

Mike...

If you haven't had the detail done yet.

I highly recommend Nick at CleanDetail.

He's based in Doncaster but his work is unbelievable.

Cheers Mark. Are many down to attend the next monthly meet on 7 Feb? I was thinking of coming along but didn't want to drive a fair distance and find an empty pub.

3 so far confirmed. There will more than likely be 2-3 others coming aswell.

On average there's 4-5 throughout winter period and increasing towards summer.
