Need more power!!!! Audi b7 2.0tdi sline dsg 140.

Hello

I have a Audi b7 2.0tdi sline dsg 140 56 plate. Love the car love the gear box but have just come from owning a bmw 530d with 280bhp and I am starting to miss the power.

Just looking for some advice about the different steps to take and a rough idea of a price and idea of power.

I'm after a guide from just a simple chip up to whatever the gearbox would safely take and I know there are some experts on here

Don't think you could affect the gear box with a simple remap as you'll only see 170hp. If you want around 200hp, then remap, dpf delete plus 170hp injectors and turbo (bv43). Even then a good condition clutch should be up to the job no need to worry about gearbox it's well capable of 200hp
 
The 140's didn't have a dpf.

Darkside developments have done some 140's with gains up to 220bhp. Not cheap tho, if you're on a low budget, pipercross panel filter, and stage 1 map. Should see 170-185bhp depending who does the map and how healthy your engine is.

Assuming you say they can do this with just a remap
 
Basic remaps on the 140 usually see 30-35 bhp, panel filter wont help much as from what i've found out through audisport is that the airbox isnt really restrictive
 
Not just a map obviously other bits and pieces need doing, but depends on budget.
 
Thanks for the advice. I have been looking on darkside and think a new turbo and remap is the way forward
 
i just remapped mine, went from 140hp to 170hp. was told i should see that return so got it on a RR, sure enough 170hp. have added a pipercross filter since, so maybe a small gain there from that but doubt it would make a big difference
