Center Silencer Delete?

I have my back box removed and it sounds like this

not the best turbo booo (got a hole fixed since but not sure if it sounds better) but would removing the center silencer/middle box give it a bigger and louder booo?

I have a 2.0tdi 140

It's booked in tomorrow for the center silencer to come out and get a straight pipe in there instead, can someone tell me if it will improve the boo noise please before I do oit :p
 
I also have removed the backbox and was thinking about midbox. Don't know what effect it would be, post a video after mod :)

Yeah I surely will, are you looking for a better boo as well or? Is yours anyway like mine in the video?
 
Not boo, maybe just more bassy diesel sound and turbo whistle. You must get more boo :D but not so much like aftet backbox delete.
And yes, mine is very similar to your, just without that hole leak sound :)
 
I wouldn't remove middle one. Saw at least 3 BKD engines around which have removed both back box and middle and they sound terrible.

Back box delete sounds great though!

Ah I see, not sure where to go or what to do then, just wanting the turbo howl to sound a bit better and louder, few people around me have said it sounds weird and should remove the middle box haha...
 
I think Rideen is telling thruth, I also saw on youtube some videos with full straight through 2.0TDIs, and that didn't sound sexy. That held me from doing this mod.
If I were you I wouldn't change anything or fit FULL aftermarket system, that could give you best experience. BKD just need 1 silencer.

try a video while the car is parked up, rev it up to 3000rpm and then let off while someone is beside the car recording the exhaust sound.
when i had the backbone delete i had the loud howl which was good but i have since had a hybrid turbo, decat and erg delete along with a custom remap which has changed the noise of the exhaust to a much more rough noise... sounds immense when i accelerate but i have totally lost the howl. i didnt touch my mid box at all and its still there... if I'm honest only thing i would go for now is a proper exhaust upgrade... a supersprint maybe.

Yeah I've had people rev it and myself to 2-3000 revs but it doesn't sound like anything in your video though, the howl is there its just not loud enough for my liking... This is some crazy stuff here -
 
Different engine, turbo so you can't requite to have same sound you like.

The VNT choo is audible as it's a straight through no boxes .

I always prefer just a back box on dervs but if the silencer doesn't have any packing material you'll get the VNT choo .

Got the middle box taken out, sounds pretty nice now I think
 
Lol what on earth... why is it doing that... no Audi should be making noises like that. I have 3'' straight, just deep growl no funny noise.

Look at the video I just posted, its a lot better now... :)
 
Possibly the pipe diameter makes the sense in sound deepness. If you like that booooo, just remove silencers like Clowryy did. If you want diesel growl - big pipe then :D
